RAWK goes into Meltdown 2010/2011

Every atom of my being hates to say it, but with a heart as heavy as the great River Mersey runs deep, my trembling fingers must type these most painful of words, dripping with all the sorrow in all of the Worlds: King Kenny - thank you sincerely for your most greatest of efforts, but the time has come for you to exit stage left with your head held high.

Like a father, you picked up a bruised baby at the turn of the year - a pulp of a baby that had been kicked and shaken and pummelled by negligent parents (Hicks and Gillett); neglected and malnourished by a hapless carer (Hodgson); and bullied and harrassed in the school yard by a bunch of jealous cowards (the media).

You gave that baby its pride once more, with the love, strength and paternal wisdom only you could provide. You reminded the infant of its glorious blood line, and breathed life into its faultering lungs with your gentle kisses. For this we the fans - all of us your children - thank you more than this humble scribe can ever express.

But now the kindest thing you can do is let go of that little hand that grips so tightly to your finger. So much has changed in the last twenty years - you took your leave from the honest working man's game of football. Sadly you returned to the corrupt dirty business of billionaire whoredom.

Things have not gone well. But you, our liege, have done your job. You have reigned over us during our darkest hour and shown us the glimmer of hope and light that lies in the sparkle of your forever youthful eyes. But the time has come for you to perform that most hurtful of acts - a fate no father should have to endure once, never mind twice - to wave farewell to your beloved kin for the second time.

I'm in tears as I type this but thank you, King Kenny, and goodb...I can't do it. I just can't do it... .

take a bow

 Priceless

Can someone please post this on RAWK in a couple of months time. Ta.

Oh my god, that is by far the most pathetic, pretentious, over the top, ridiculous piece of absolute melodramatic durge I think I have ever read in my entire existence.

Utter, utter, utter shameless self pity from someone who needs to man the feck up.

Completely

PS Could that really be genuine???

Serves them right for going for Kenny in the first place. The best they could have hoped for out of that appointment would have been an immediate improvement from the players that you normally get from a new manager. Played 2, Lost 2.

I dont get all this rubbish about having no other options, they are one of the biggest clubs in the world, they could still attract a big name with some money to spend in Jan.

Kenny was the cop out option, pardon the pun.

No no hes saying that someone should post that on RAWK in a few weeks.

Fair enough. Who would have gone there?

Well for a start, seeing as they are pretty much writing this season off why not go for one of the younger guys that are doing well?

Owen Coyle would not turn down Liverpool. Theres that young porto manager doing well for himself.

If they are only looking for a stop gap until the end of the season I bet hiddink would have found it difficult to say no too. Similiar to how he did with Chelsea and Russia.

I dont care what people say Martin O'Neill would have been a better option as a manager.

Dalglish was just, as similiar to Keegan/Shearer at Newcastle, the easy option to appease the fans.

Thing is, though I accept your point, most of those managers would have wanted decent length contracts.

What happens if they rush an appointment and get it wrong....again.

Another 7 million out the kitty in pay offs?

Yeh fair point, but Hiddink did a similiar thing with Chelsea and was reasonably sucessful on a 6 month deal. Nobody could argue that Dalglish is a better manager than Hiddink! And im sure it could have galvanised the club in much the same way....

Now yeh, the others would probably have wanted a longer term deal so thats the dilemna they have, but sooner or later they are going to have to offer someone a long term deal.

Either way, its brilliant watching them suffer

Hiddink had some very good players to work with...Liverpool have...er...Torres and Gerrard. He took over a Chelsea side competing for honours as well. Not sure he'd fancy taking over midtable side in crisis with the slight threat of relegation. Don't know the man...perhaps he would...

If they'd give him enough money in his Caymen islands bank account he'd do anything.

I just think they could have atleast tried someone like that! Someone with some new ideas, a modern manager to galvanise things, even in the short term.

Whats Dogleash going to do? Bring back Rush and Hansen? They need to get out of the 1980's in so many ways.

Going crying to him was just brilliant though, easy option.

It's what the fans demanded, and the new owners are playing a clever game by getting the fans on their side. If they manage that, like Benitez did, the fans will forgive them anything - again, like with Benitez.

Who knows? They might have done, or he might have wanted too much money. They might not have seen it as an option mind...God knows what goes on.

I do agree with the getting out of the eighties mind...massively.

Why on earth do you keep abusing a great player in this manner? It's not only childish, it makes you no different to the scousers. It serves no purpose apart from making you look like a total prick!

Keep abusing?? Probably one comment..... Sorry Dad.

I havent said anything about his playing ability at any point and most of what I have said, have been reasonable questions about the club, if you bother to read them.

As a manager, I think id be more than within my rights to question his ability to save them in the modern day game?

Agree. It's the equivalent of the abuse that SAF gets on RAWK. United fans should be better than that.

Incorrect, it is merely a play on words, if they were to call SAF Funguson or something it would be the same. Same with fibreglass for example, its just a mildly amusing play on words

If we were to call him gibbon face or something that would be the same as them calling SAF whiskey nose, its the way he looks & he can't help it which is an insult.

No it isnt, its really really offensive!!

I will only refer to him as King Kenny II from now on

Why on earth is it a big deal Weaste?

Harldy the most offensive thing in the world. Each to their own lad.

He doesn't look like a Gibbon though..He looks like a very sick old labrador.

Good point

Weaste does have a point. I find it difficult myself, getting personal in regards to Dalglish

There are various threads taking the piss out of his mangerial abilities, no one has mentioned his ability as a player.

He's fair game, as is anyone else connected to Liverpool...

Behave yourself. Only a bit of banter, jesus.

I remember a certain, extremely bitter "Andy" fella who used to post on RAWK. One of the most bitter, delusional posters you will ever meet.

Incindentally, does anyone have any clue if/when last he posted?
