Tottenham v Manchester United

As usual, away from home, our players need a rocket up their arses. This probably won't come until spurs go ahead.

Bloody annoying.

Carrick really needs to wake up. How many times is it going to take him to realise this. He keeps inviting pressure on our back four with his dozy possession play and loose passing.

Giggs is another one who seems to have lost the ability to pass the ball in the final third. As the season goes on it is becoming blazingly obvious how much we are missing valencia, both going forward and defensively.

Get Hernandez and Anderson on in place of Berbatov and Fletcher.

Berbatov never does anything against Spurs, and Fletcher with the yellow will be on a leash now.

And make one of the changes at half time - the 60 minute mark "rule" is too predictable.

Our midfield is woeful under pressure, playing 4-4-2.

Rafael has been excellent, bar the occasional spaz attack and his inability to make the final good pass.

Nani has been peripheral in this game, but it's necessary to help curtail Bale on the right lane.

This isn't Berbatov's type of game. Hernandez would be a better option. Rooney has been very frustrating. Giggs has been, eh, shit

Vidic, Rio and VDS have been very good.

Spurs look the most likely to score so far.

Berbs would be more ideal if we had Hernandez, Rooney still doesn't look fit yet.

We'll see Ando on for Carrick at half time. SAF almost never makes changes at half time, but this one we'll see

Fcuking hell... I come on here to see what the cafe's saying and it's like I've been watching a different game... Were you lot all expecting us to cut through spurs like butter?

Carrick is great and can look like Xavi when not under pressure.... when midfielders close him down and challenge him though, 50% of the time it does not end well...

And some of you insist Busquets isn't better.....

I think the ref has been a disgrace, he's bowed to the crowd. We've been hard but fair in our tackling - Rafael's booking was a joke.

Had the ball but once both feet are off the ground; there was only going to be one result. To be fair, I was glad it wasn't a red especially with how Dean took such a long time to think about it.

Rafael will get sent off, guaranteed. It was a ridiculous booking for Dean to give - bowing to crowd pressure.

Rafael needs to cool down or he'll be off.

Reminds me of the Bayern game. Harry will tell Tottenham to target him as he can be a hot head.

If you take off Berbatov and Fletcher, United would struggle to exploit and defend set pieces in this game.

Rooneys been awful. Had s great chance early on and then another where he could have set bervatov up for a tap in.

He really is looking like a pub player technically. I don't understand this shit, when he's on he's amazing, but when he's off it's like he fits all the stereotypes of a fat English huff and puff type of player with no technical ability to speak of.

Shocking stuff. Just how shite has Carrick been. Fletcher, Giggs, Nani, front 2 really poor.

Holy shit Carrick's been woeful. He needs to stop crumbling under pressure but fair play to Spurs, they have been closing us down very well. We need to introduce Anderson or Scholes on for one of Giggs, Fletcher, or Carrick to get a bit of control in midfield. We are being overrun in that department.

The final ball from every player is the problem. We've got into good areas a few times but have either made the wrong decision or played a poor final ball.

Sums it up pretty well.
Probably should add that his off form is lasting for a pretty long time now.

Modric is raping Carrick and Fletcher, one of them has to come off.

Best way to do that is to take off Bale and to put on Kranjcar. I think Bale's struggling with his injury.

The rules have gone mad - if you take the ball, it's not a foul. If the player lunges and fouls, then by all means give the yellow/red. But don't give a booking for something that looks vaguely like a lunge even though the player got the ball. Dean didn't book Crouch for exactly the same sort of challenge.

Rafael has been great going forward but a little suspect defensively, the midfield has been dreadful and up front fairly invisible. Great game from Vidic, Rio and VDS though.

I'd say its Fletcher, Carrick protects the back 4 much better but currently both suck but Carrick has more of the chance to create that killer pass than Fletch.

Actually, come to think, we may keep both and switch to 4-3-3. at least for the first 10-15 min. then we'll do changes. Giggs in the middle or off for Ando

Ugly ugly game, if thats what the best attacking sides on the prem have to offer.. dearie me, Blatter was right to say La Liga is a better league.

When he has the ball, off the ball he struggles and that's the dynamic of this game, it's weighted heavily in Tottenham's favour unfortunately.

yeah, but Carrick is awful and no one can retain possession. Scholes is excellent doing so. Make it 4-5-1 and he'll get protection...
