Barclays Premier League
Manchester United v Birmingham
Saturday, 22th January 2011, 15:00
Old Trafford, Manchester

Home game so we'll win. What's the away game after that? Blackpool? Need to win our next 2 league games.

I thought you had done your last matchday thread?

I really really want us to absolutely rape them, the ridiculous headless chickens

EDIT: I just re-read it is not what it sounds like

Team should be....

GK: VDS

RB: Fabio
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Nani
CM: Carrick
CM: Scholes
LM: Giggs

CF: Rooney
CF: Berbatov

Subs: PIG, Smalling, Evans, Fletcher, Anderson, Hernandez, Owen

This has 1-0 written all over it. Rooney with the goal

We need to score goals in this game! Sounds a silly thing to say, but we haven't scored more than twice since the 7-1 against Blackburn and before that back into early November for 3-0 away at Bursaspor. I'd go with:

van der Sar

Fabio
Smalling
Vidic
Evra

Nani
Carrick
Scholes
Anderson

Rooney
Berbatov

SUBS: Kuszczak, Brown, J Evans, Fletcher, Giggs, Owen, Hernandez.

I feel confident we'll get the 3 points in this one, time for a Scholes start me thinks.

I think "Fabio" should play right-back.

 Would there actually be any way for them to tell that it would not be Fabio aside from blood tests that they would obviously not do?

If, erm.."Fabio" were to play and they did a surprise blood test after the game, we could either swap them quickly again, or probably faced being lynched by the F.A. and kicked out of all competitions ever. We'd just be Manchester United, like the Harlem Globetrotters - but with John O'Shea.

I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he was lined out at left back & Sheasy at right back. Evra looks like a lad that could do with a rest.
Time we saw Fabio playing, Evra will need a rest at some point and it might as well be this match. Got some speed on him too so it'll help our attack. Sheasy or Brown could play at right back easy enough.

Starting XI: ------------ Van Der Sar --------------------------
Brown ------ Ferdinand ----------------- Vidic ---------- Evra -
Nani --------- Scholes ---------------- Anderson ------ Obertan
-------------- Rooney ----------------- Owen -----------------

Bench: Kuszczak, O´Shea, Smalling, Carrick, Giggs, Berbatov, Hernandez

The last sentence made me:lol:

They're identical twins. What exactly do you think a blood test is going to reveal?

Actually, that brings up a question. Even if we play Fabio instead of "Fabio", how does the FA ensure that we aren't circumventing Rafael's punishment?

Think Rio will be given a break with a fixture up at Blackpool coming up in 3 days(he was apparently struggling a little after the Spurs game). Carrick and Giggs probably as well

Edwin

Fabio--Evans--Vidic--Evra

Nani--Fletcher--Scholes--Anderson

Rooney--Berbatov

It has to be a comfortable win, 2-0.

Good point, aren't they supposed to even have the same DNA? No way to tell them apart then.

-------------------Van Der Sar------------------------

--Fabio----------Rio-------Vidic--------------Evans---

--Obertan--------Scholes-----Anderson--------Nani-----

------------------Rooney---Berbatov------------------

Prediction:4-0. Berbatov 12, 13, 14, 15min

As I said before the Spurs match, put Anderson in the bloody team. As for RB position it really depends who's fit, I wouldn't mind seeing Neville seeing as we're playing against a pretty unadventurous side and he's probably still the best crosser we have in that position. Also I bet he's read the disparaging remarks in the press and will want to prove them wrong.

VDS
Brown, Rio, Vida, Evra
Nani, Scholes, Anderson, Giggs
Rooney, Berbatov

Bench: TK, Smalling, Fabio, Carrick, Hernandez, Obertan, Fletcher
