Manchester United v Birmingham

Everybody keeps saying Rooney will score in every single matchday thread but it ain't happening. I think everyone needs to stop saying that. It too much for pressure for him if he reads this forum and finds that everyone on here wants him to score every game.
 
I agree with RDCRO7, we shouldn't keep saying it, no.
 
Got a feeling Rooney will score in this one.
 
Rooney to score - an own goal, he'll try a trade mark Scholes-esque pass back to VDS from the half way line and end up lobbing him instead - we end up losing 1-0.

Berbatov and Nani will score, that's for sure.
 
I have a feeling we could see a few changes. Something like:

Nani Scholes Anderson Evra
Rooney Hernandez​

It's been a while since Fergie made whole sale changes for no apparent reason. I'd say we're due.

Why not just play Rafael, Rafael's development is far more important than Premier League rules and United can afford to take the three point hit?


Better yet, play Rafael in Fabio's shirt just to humiliate Fabio, let him know his career at United is one big joke, I'm sure he'd be proud of that he's serving his brother's ban when he's getting few oppertunities himself. Maybe we could play Fabio in Rafael's shirt playing Southampton or someone to make it up.

What next Jonny in Corry's shirt, Wes in Reese's, Darren in Darron's?

Michael Owen in Owen Hargreaves'?

My goodness better yet, just forfeit, sure there's three senior rightbacks avaliable, but since Rafael isn't playing, the game isn't worth winning, even winning with Brown, Neville or O'Shea must be a very hallow fate for a United fan, goodness must be worse than supporting Liverpool or Aston Villa at the moment now mustn't it?

Team news for Saturday: "Having to replace Rafael has given us something to consider, plus one or two other changes. Fabio could replace him. John O'Shea and Wes Brown also played for the Reserves so they are a consideration. Scholes comes into consideration tomorrow. It's good to have him back. He's had a little break, and whenever he's had an injury in the past and taken time out he's coming back looking fresh."

Antonio Valencia recovery: "Antonio Valencia has started running, he's out with the physios every day now. He's been given the all clear from the doctors so he is under our complete control now, which is good. We're hoping that towards the end of February he should be back in the squad. I hope Fabio plays at RB. He needs the gametime to help his game progress. Besides with the form Rio and Vidic is in we can afford to have someone a little unpredictable in the defense.

For some reason, left wing has always been Anderson's kryptonite.

I'd rather see Fletcher on the right and Nani left. Not ideal but we're a bit short of wingers at the moment.

I'd like to see Anderson play though. Maybe pair him up with Carrick again and give Scholes the last half hour or so, to sharpen him up for Blackpool?
