We were right not to spend in January, our squad has a great balance and the signing we need, a new CM, would upset that balance. We do need a CM but this was not the time, it'll happen in the Summer.

It's only the first half, and we're only 1 goal down. We'll turn it around.
 
we need to stop giving free-kicks away in dangerous position, so many times we keep giving it away, its just giving encouragement to Wolves :mad:

Yep. Its not so much the defense but the midfield. No protection at all for the back 4. They have so much room.

Having said that. I'm bemused as to how we haven't scored atleast one more.
 
Carrick and Fletcher look bad together... just doesn't seem to work. Rooney should have made it 2-0 and has been pretty bad.

Nani looks good but other than that we're having an off evening, hopefully we can turn it around like at Blackpool.

Anderson for Fletcher... not saying he's been worse than Carrick but Anderson looks a lot better with Carrick at his side.

And the defense looks awful... missing Rio and having Evans in there makes my heart pound faster every time Wolves attack.

I don't know about that. I think there is a bigger problem play away to the lesser clubs. For some reason United play flat away to these clubs. It's week after week. One thing I see with this club is that they have no chance with the Champions League. No matter what the score at this point, they should be dominating a team like Wolves.
 
i would take off evans and bring on scholes and go for it. We need a grip in the middle someone to dictate play. Wolves will tyr and sit on this lead now so we must get at them

Well we haven't done anything going forward of note other than when Nani gets wide. The pitch is so shit it makes intricate play a no go so get Scholes on for the long ball and switch of play, if anyone can play judging the wind its Scholes.
 
Nani and Fletcher have been good, everyone else not so much. Got caught napping on the first goal and both Evans and Vidic were weak on the second goal.

- childish fouls
- rolling about on the floor pretending to be hurt while Wolves were attacking
- playing the same fecking 80 yard pass every time he gets the ball, despite the fact it hasn't worked once
- trying to score with a first time volley on his weak foot when he's THROUGH ON feckING GOAL

Also, for about the 500th fecking time; Carrick + FLetcher as a midfield two, DOES NOT WORK. What's the point in having players like Paul Scholes and Anderson if you're going to deliberately play people who are shitter than them instead? Please just fecking stop it.
 
2005. We're top, Wolves bottom. Rio gets injured a day or two (?) before the match and we lose.

2011. We're top, Wolves bottom. Rio gets injured in pre match and ..

I think we'll draw this this really is such a good chance to extend that lead but we've been shite defensively. For once when our attack looks decent away from home it's our defense (again) that lets us down.
 
We've come back from 2 down at blackpool. It will be another case of get the next goal and we should push on from there hopefully.

The ref that sat there and did nothing when Yerra bear-hugged Vidic and brought him down on a corner. I don't think he has the bottle to make big decisions.
 
Wolves will score again, no doubt in my mind.

We're going to have to score 3 more goals to win this
 
I fancy us winning this one but just because of that, we can't ignore the clear and present problems within our midfield. I reckon that our defense is simply having a bad day but I am more shocked at the number of misplaced passes Carrick and Fletcher made. After we conceded the first goal, we seem to have lost our game plan. We just started booting the ball up the field, spraying long balls everywhere.

Not blaming Rafael for any of the two goals. As I mentioned, I just think O Shea's height would probably help when defending corners.

Agree about Rooney, don't know what the feck he's playing at but he's a liability when he's in the mood, I'd get him off the pitch for Hernandez before he comes off at the Ref's orders and we can't put anyone on.

He got injured during the match, his last before that suspension. Brown came on for him, and then Miller scored. We never recovered.
 
I'm only watching on my phone whilst working but from what i've seen we've looked alright. We've just lacked that killer touch.

Fletcher? Seriously? Nani has been our best player and the rest have been poor. The Fletcher/Carrick pairing isn't working.
