Manchester United v Manchester City

Small river for the match anyone?

Fergie:

Balance of team vs Arsenal was very good, so aim is to replicate it

summerbee is mr personality aint he?

Redknapp: "where do you think you can get at United today, Mike?"
Summerbee: "well we just have to get at them, we have to get at them. We have to, erm, get at them".

Insightful.

Thanks. sounds straightforward Thought it might be an App or something, I am not the most technically advanced person around

to be honest some games that Rooney has played on his own up front have been shocking , but at home , I think I agree with SAF.

Rooney's the only one who has at some point consistently performed well in that role. He was excellent at it last season, so at least there is some reason to suggest that it is one that suits him. No matter how much Rooney frustrates me, the other two have not shown that yet.

neeeeeeed stream!

So you think we can only beat City by taking risks?

I think our chances of winning the game are just as good with this slightly conservative line up than if he'd played Berba and Rafael and gone for their throats.

I think it's essential that we win this game, it's a key.

HEAD-TO-HEAD: United and City have met 143 times in the league. United have won 57, City 37 and there have been 49 draws. In the Premier League, United have won 16, City five and there have been six draws. This is Alex Ferguson’s 35th Manchester derby in the top flight. He has won 18, drawn 10 and lost six of his previous 34 league matches against

My only question is as to why Rafael is on the bench, if he hadn't been fit he wouldn't have been on the bench, right? And surely we're not concerned about the aerial threat from City with Tevez playing as a lone striker (which was pretty expected)

commeeeee on

I had a dream last night we were winning 2-0 at half time. City player got sent off. Fabio scored a penalty and Brown scored with a left foot volley. i have seen it.

mind you Rafael has a broken finger from the wolves game, perhaps fergie doesn't want to risk him.

Questions about the balance though, the only "wide player" on the bench is Rafael ... any chance he could go on the wing as a bus parking option?

If it were to come to that then I'd imagine Rooney would be shifted wide with Berba/Hernandez up front on their own.
