We've already seen that playing very very well is not enough for him to cement a role in this team. He's looked a bit off the pace at times but I won't blame him. He just never gets a consistent run in the side.
My point was, if he is playing behind the striker, you must try to get yourself much more involved.
He hasn't been in the game at all while playing there.
Anderson looks much better in a 4-4-2 with someone covering his back. Behind the hole, he just doesn't have that attacking threat that you'd expect ( reverting back to Scholes, you'd know he has a goal in him ) Anderson lacks that and with Rooney not making run, I don't think we need a behind the hole player.
Just my opinion.
