Heart says united win, head says score draw.

Hopefully Sunderland can get something at arselona on Saturday.

Definite best option. Agree with this team

We really need a win. But a draw wouldn't be too much of a disaster.

Cant call this one, form book goes out of the window for this match. If we score I really hope we dont do our usual trick of sitting back and inviting pressure.

I would go with Nani, Rooney and Hernandez as the main attacking options again.

Thought they worked well together tonight and would do the business on Sunday against Liverpool's back three, or five, if they play that wing back system.

Is Evans fit? If yes, then he will definitely play. And it will be O'Shea not Rafael on right back, he's our first choice now.

Apparently Brown is to partner Smalling at centre half.

Team should look something like this:

VDS
O'Shea Smalling Brown Evra

Nani Scholes Carrick Giggs

Hernandez Rooney

That is the side I would go for, with Giggs being able to come into the middle if needs be and Rooney drop wide. Quite a fluid formation with bags of creativity.

Please beat these cnuts.

Team should be...

GK: VDS

RB: O'Shea
CB: Smalling
CB: Brown
LB: Evra

RM: Nani
CM: Fletcher
CM: Giggs
CM: Carrick
LM: Rooney

CF: Berbatov

Subs: Lindegaard, Rafael, Fabio, Scholes, Gibson, Hernandez, Owen

Let's face it Scholes won't play again, had to laugh at one of the pundits on Sky saying we had no real injury problems. Before the Chelsea game I'd have taken two draws, following a defeat though we really need to win this one. I reckon it will be a draw though 0-0

Just win the damn game. I don't care how.

We know we have a harder run in than Arsenal and we've got to start beating these big teams.

Get this game out of the way and albeit Arsenal will have a game in hand but I'd say we've got the easier run in

I think we will win this one

Yeah that is what everyone said about the Chelsea game. Everyone said we will win that game confidently and look what happened. I was actually more worried about the Liverpool game than the Chelsea game.

thought the Chelsea game would be a draw and that is what it really was except the ref decided to award the match to Chelsea...again.

think we will play the same team we played last night except of course Brown or better Rio..if he is available for Vidic.

possibility of Berba for Hernadez.

What? But everybody told me Rafael is the best RB on the planet. What happened? O'Shea is better? He's been dropped?

Can you think of what happened right before he lost his starting position.

Go ahead. Give it shot genius.

We need as much experience in the back as possible, with both Rio and Vidic out. So that rules out Rafael. O'Shea will be on the right. Brown for Vidic

Midfield: Fletcher-Scholes-Carrick-Giggs-Nani.

Forwards: Just one. have a feeling it will be Rooney

Tactics: We'll play tight. Narrow. Not to lose.

If Berba starts, Rooney should be in the hole. 4-4-1-1.
Hernandez- Berba is tempting, but only if Park was fit and on the left, as with him it feels almost as if we are playing 3 in midfield.
Rooney on the left might be considered, though Giggs with his experience is priceless.

First time at Anfield for me. Can't wait. Bring the bastards on!

Would it be wrong to hope we can at least get a draw from this match? It's an away game this. We played 4-4-2 away in a big match for probably the first time in ages. It did provide us with some spectacle and open play. But I think we should revert back to our tried and tested (and neutral will say, boring) 4-5-1. A draw will not make me feel so sad. Of course a win will be wonderful.

.........................VDS........................
.....Rafael...Brown...Smalling...Evra........
Nani..Carrick...Scholesy...Giggsy..Rooney
...............Berbatov............................

I hope we don't shift Rooney back to the left wing now. He's getting into some form now, 5 goals from 5 PL games now. He'll just end up getting frustrated on the left wing.

This is going to be one tough game.
The really big games is at Arsenal , that is a game we need to get something out of.
Liverpool are playing shit but I expect them to rise there game on Sunday.
We have enough to see them off and I don't expect to lose this one a draw would be just about OK a lose would be a huge blow but not the end of our title hopes.

OK, why have you got the badges from swindon town FC's website? Do you want to confess and share something between us RonaldoVII? :smirk:

The matchday thread vs Chelsea had images from the same website and I just changed the URL of the Chelsea one to find the Liverpool badge. It's a pain in the arse finding two good quality images that are the same size so I just wacked them from there :D
