Good half from us. We deserve to be ahead but I don't want to see the same old story happen again. We dare not give them encouragement to turn the game around. Virtually all of our players have done their jobs expertly so far.

Decent first half by United but United usually do well in the first half vs Chelsea. Now is the key half, they need to withstand the upcoming Chelsea pressure that we already had a quick preview of the last minute.

Good first half, but a few worrying signs when Chelsea's midfield have momentum. Despite that Carrick has been outstanding. I just worry that Chelsea are going to have a period now like in the second half of the last game, where they're all over us in midfield.

Decent half. Greatly worked goal. Rooney's impressed, Carrick has stepped up and Rio and Vida is always good to have. Parks' panicked at times but overall a good half.

Hernandez thinking on the edge of our box near the end of the half which spurred a great counter attack was a superb piece of play and Car rick has been excellent in attack not just as a 3rd CB.

Absolutely brilliant half from us, I thought. Take away the last two minutes, where they in fairness should have equalised, it's a well deserved lead.

United might need to bring on Scholes and put Giggs on left to get better control of midfield. Park loooks a bit rusty.
