Newcastle United vs. Manchester United

A foul to them for Hernandez running the ball out, blocked off out player from running onto the free ball, gave a free kick to them for Smalling having his shirt pulled and then gave a yellow for a tangle of legs.

This ref is having a mare.

Some bad decision making in the final third.Rooney with a way too powerful shot and Giggs passing to Chicharito whereas Nani was completely free on his left in the last counter.
Newcastle are shit and are there for the taking

HT. 0-0

Well that was very dysfunctional from us. Some good chances but too often in that half we were worryingly poor. We're lucky we aren't losing this game from all that Newcastle pressure.

I hope the Man City defeat didn't shake us up this badly. We can't be so sloppy in the games ahead. A big second half improvement should get the job done.

Smalling's gone for same ball as Vidic twice now, could have conceded there.

I think if we do sign Young then the transfer fee will be justified just for his ability to take a set piece and get the ball past the first man. Corners are absolutely wasted on us.

Anyway we ended the half well and controlled the game. Should win this in the second half.

Ref has been shit but that doesn't mask how the likes of Anderson and Carrick being very poor. Evra still looks like a worry too.

Games are 90 minutes long, it is only half time.

The ref needs to understand the concept of a foul because going by that half he has no clue.

Better as the half went on, get Giggs and Rooney more into it and cash in.

We really should've scored so far. Giggs fecked up that last counter-attacking move, should've passed it to Nani. Anyway, we need to concentrate and take our chances... Newcastle, despite having loads of possesion near our box, haven't created much so far.

Agreed. Our center midfield really should be doing more.

Ando and Smalling has been poor so far.

Very rocky first half, Newcastle have ran through us at time. Hernandez has looked sharp and confident but we need to get him better service.

Valencia on at right back to deal with Gutierrez and give Nani extra attacking support.

Who do you take out of the starting XI to fit him in?

It's all well and good saying he's good at set pieces, but do you want to weaken the team in open play for it?

We will win the game

The hard way as usual.

Too many average red shirts today so far

They'll tire in the second half, Barton is their dangerman. We need to stay awake around him.

Hate to have to mention it but the ref is a fecking nightmare waiting to happen. We can't make any mistakes in our box otherwise the ref is sure to give a pen.

I guess he and Valencia would be fighting for one spot. However when we go with the 1 striker away from home he could play behind the striker. He's done that quite well for Villa this season.

Why didn't Giggs just play Nani in at the end there. He was right there next to him, through on goal, and instead he tries to thread Harnandez in between three fecking defenders. Very poor.

and I wish this United side would grow a pair of fecking balls.

Still can't work out how Carrick got a yellow for running...

Can we stop fouling Guiterez everytime he gets the ball and give away free kicks in dangerous positions?

Valencia will definitely come on sooner rather than later. But not too disappointed right now because towards the end of the half we were starting to control the game so hopefully we pick up where we left off instead of facing another Newcastle storm.
