Manchester United vs. Everton

Everton is short of legitime strikers so I would give Vida a rest and start with Rio/Evans and Smalling.. Evra also should play as little as possible today.

Rest Vidic?! Are you bonkers?!

Full strength everywhere without doubt, this is not a match to be fecking about with the team selection.

I reckon Anderson will start. Anderson-gibson-Carrick in the middle.

A 3-man midfield at home to Everton? Kinell...

Dunno if we'll see full strength everywhere, but Vidic is not one of those guys you sit.

On this day in 1966 we lost 1-0 at home to Everton.

Our Under 18's are currently 2-0 down to Everton.

It's Old Trafford, kill the game as soon as possible and sub off our most used players.

This. I would love to have a 2nd half as boring as the Fulham one where we've won the match in the first 30 mins.

I'll be amazed if we played that strong a team and even more amazed if we won 5-0

Thank you Everton you beat Chelsea in FA Cup, because we don't have a hectic fixture list now, but you're gonna be smashed today.

80% - Man Utd have an 80% win percentage in PL games kicking off at 15:00 this season, compared to just 52% at other start times. Clocked.

Of course that may have something to do with all high-risk games and tv-matches not being played at 15.00

or basically - every difficult game - we do not play at 15.00

please no bad omen for us.....:nervous:

If a bunch of 15 and 16 year olds losing to Evertons u18 is a bad omen - then everything is a bad omen. Not a single player who starred against Chelsea is in the squad for that game :)

Oh and anothing thihg - for the last 30 or so years - only 6 matches against Everton have ended up with a win of 3 goals or more for either side (Everton having 2 of those 6)

Just a reminder for those of you who expect a big win today

If nani ups his game today we will be fine.

It's the midfield that worries me!

DAMIT. This is what I hate. Vidic and Carrick rested :nervous:

Unless Cahill or Arteta are back - we should win. If we can't beat an Everton-team possible without Heitinga, Fellaini, Saha, Arteta and Cahill at home- well .....

Memories of Anderson and Gibson in midfield aren't very good, but Everton should be lacking in the same area as well, unless Arteta is fit. Should be OK.

Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Distin, Jagielka, Osman, Neville, Rodwell, Bilyaletdinov, Coleman, Beckford.
Cahill on bench, no Arteta.

That team SHOULD be good enough - Nani, Valencia, Rooney and Hernandez ? More than good enough if they are close to having a decent day

Hm, quite surprised at that I have to say, I don't see the point in leaving players out. Should still be enough to beat Everton, but I'd have rather done it with as much comfort as possible.

So no Hargreaves, Berbatov, Smalling, Park, Vidic, Scholes or Fletcher.

Park, Vidic and Scholes all to start on Tuesday I reckon, potentially Smalling too?

EDIT: I remember Smalling took a bad knock against Newcastle, that's probably why he's not involved.

Evra getting dropped/rested is good news and O'Shea at the back is solid enough but Evans really really scares me. He's just been that bad this season. The front four is great but Gibbo and Anderson? :nervous:

Really wish Vidic and Carrick had started.

I'm surprised at no Vidic, Evans worries me, as does that midfield pairing, but something had to give as Carrick has not been rested recently.

Gibson Anderson in the mid! I was worried now I'm shitting it.

Thank fook we have good wide men and lightning front men!

I expect Rooney to be dropping deep alot today

Looking at the lineups for both team, it's not that big advantage to us..
