He was clearly a much better leftback than Christian Fuchs last season for example, yet Fuchs looks quality for Leicester in a well organised team this season while Baba looks completely lost. It's really difficult to judge him so far. I hope he can make it longterm and won't regret the move. He showed enough to be considered a great talent.

Yeah but Gol is an idiot who has a swarm of wasps above his head at the moment.

Fact is that he was one of the best fullbacks last season in Bundesliga and gave Bayern problems in both matches. He was also in a very good team that defended extremely well. It's just the Mourinho effect, he's making all of the Chelsea players look terrible at the moment.

Yes. Its Mourinho's fault that Rahman cant tackle. Its also his fault that Rahman doesn't understand the concept of marking or holding a defensive line. Lets blame Mourinho for everything while we are at it. His fault Terry can't run, his fault Costa is a psycho, his fault Fabregas presents his arsehole whenever we are under pressure and his fault that Cahill is a 30 year old looking at a 20 year old for direction.

Its time for players to take some blame a bit more. Sure Mourinho is at fault for a lot wrong this season but Baba Rahman not knowing how to defend isn't one of them.

I am not sure that Baba would be able to replicate his form in a team like Dortmund, Chelsea etc.

Last year two very important players left Augsburg (Hahn and Ostrzolek) and both didn't show anywhere near as much in their new clubs (Hamburg and Gladbach).

I'm not saying the same will happen to Baba and I also heard he's doing well with the National team but I think it's a risk spending a lot of money on him now, it's only his first season in the Bundesliga as well.

By blaming the players you're avoiding the issue. Mourinho. I get that Chelsea fans love him to pieces, think he's the messiah and can do no wrong. Fact is that he's the one that's responsible for your mess. What do you think your players do in training? Instead of blaming the players perhaps look at the tactics first and understand that Mourinho is simply getting it all wrong. Replacing half your squad won't make a blind bit of difference when the problem is the management. But feel free to keep burying your head in the sand because from everyone else's point of view this is hilarious.

Also given that this is a Baba thread. His tackling won stats are pretty similar to last season. It's just his tackling lost stats which are far worse for Chelsea. (5.04 for Chelsea, 2.63 at Augsburg). Probably due to it being a more physical league than Bundesliga, Baba is obviously therefore going to take a bit of time getting used to the higher intensity. Also a shame that Mourinho doesn't utilise his crossing ability. Lesson I learnt way back with Evra is to never judge a player on the first few months of their form. If Baba is struggling to get used to the Premier League then he shouldn't be being selected. The fact that he is tells you its own story.

They prepare for games in training most weeks. If they have the full week training they will do more individual improvement and different team moves. I don't know why you are so far up Baba's arsehole but his inability to defend is not Mourinho's fault. Collective defensive errors are his fault but that isn't the problem with Rahman. His problem is he cant defend at all.

I don't know why you think I said Mourinho is blameless. He is at fault for a lot this season. Baba Rahman being crap is just him being crap, not some underlying Mourinho issue.

Tbf a lot of your players are crap. Picking on a 20 year old who is struggling in a new team, league and country when most your so called senior players have been just as bad if not worse.
