Forget the poll, Scottish independence should be decided in a one off game between Celtic and Rangers...
That would be a no-contest at the moment...
Hearts v Hibs would be a closer game!

Indeed, it has to be all or nothing. Can't see the British government agreeing to that. Would also create a weird dynamic where it would be in the rest of the UK's best interests that it not go well for Scotland.

Votes. Can someone explain what exactly Scotland has that rUK need so badly. Seems to me that they already get special treatment and Westminster are bending over backwards to give them even more. I'm starting to think we should cut them loose to sink....or swim.
Scotland can be successful if they want to and the thought of independence is spurring people on but with Salmond in charge, he will lead them down a dark hole.

The uncertainty should make the Scottish people vote no, there would be uproar if Scotland was allowed to go it alone, to then feck up and breeze back into the Union.Who knows, but just seems too much uncertainty on so many things for this thing to be going ahead tomorrow, and for it to be so final.
1) Whisky farms.
2) Haggis farms.
3) Hills. Lots and lots of hills. Everything in the Lake District was imported from Callander.

That's the one, it's there's all there's!
I don't see how they can "feck it up". It's not a third world country, Scotland would be similar financially to Ireland. This whole notion that the UK is the be all and end all is media bollocks. The important thing is Scotland staying/joining the EU.The uncertainty should make the Scottish people vote no, there would be uproar if Scotland was allowed to go it alone, to then feck up and breeze back into the Union.
*theirs.
Of course, my apologies.
I felt that the mood needed to be relaxed a little bit and the best way to do that was to be a widearse.
The time for discussion is over anyway, it's too late to change anyone's minds at this point one way or the other. Everyone has already a decided to vote for either the independence goblin or the union goblin.
Of course they could, if the yes vote wins and the United Kingdom is broken up Scotland would automatically find itself outside both the EU and NATO. They would have to reapply to join both, in the mean time they will have no currency unless they make their own which has already been ruled out as it's to expensive. Add to that the fact Scottish re-entry to the EU could be a long and painful process with no guarantee that they will ever be accepted, other countries are dead against letting Scotland retain the privileges they currently have.I don't see how they can "feck it up". Hate whiskey
Love Haggis
Love the hills.
I will be heading to Scotland for a weeks holiday October and again for Christmas...better get my passport ready.
You'll also need to exchange your Pounds Sterling for Poond Salmies.
Forgot about that. Damn these foreigners!
haha...talking of language....I remember being in Stranraer and asking a local to recommend a good Chinese takeaway....she said (I thought) Och, you want the Walk In down there....so off we go looking for it with no luck so I asked someone else and they didn't know it but did know a takeaway called the Wok In!
Me but it already looks pretty awful. So who is watching this on channel 4?
If that confused you then go to Aberdeen and wait until someone says "Furry boots?" to you.![]()
They've stitched up the Yes campaign by inviting that woman on.
Me but it already looks pretty awful.
Still might be a laugh.
To be honest the whole thing is annoying me. Half of the "points" raised are inaccurate and easily countered, but go unanswered.
Eg the bloke talking about wanting to be in control of welfare spending etc - YOU ARE. That is the purpose of the Scottish devolved parliament and why they have free university tuition in Scotland, because that is what the Scottish government chooses to spend money on.
Yeah your right it's all heart and no head(They've already had someone talking about betraying dead WW2 soldiers).
But the issue this show has shown me is how piss poor channel 4 has become, take out the odd descent drama and it a rich man's channel 5.
He's cracked it! All we need is an app!
Closer than that. 51-51.5% No, 48.5-49% Yes.My prediction: 54% will vote No. 46% Yes. +/- 1 percentage point.
I have a fear that a small 'no' victory could lead to trouble in the streets. I just can't see how a tight victory is going to pass off peacefully.
Hopefully who ever wins, wins by a large margin.
Welsh whiskey is betterOil, Labour votes & Whiskey. We've also invented pretty much everything that's useful these days too![]()
