Oh right. Is there a market for male bras?
Anderson's wearing a GPS vest, by the way.
Global Positioning Satellite? He's not that fecking big!

Who the hell spells "bra" as "bro" anyway? That's a new one to me.

His weight isn't the issue anyway, it's his lack of progress at the club.
It's not Anderson's physical condition that will be the end of him at this club. It's the fact that he just isn't a very clever footballer and he plays like an idiot, dispite having all the tools to be quality.
It's easier to let players go when this is the case as it is unlikely that he will ever be able to suddenly become a smart player.
I lost all hope in Anderson when he came back after his long term knee injury fat as fcuk. You really have to just not give a shit to know your body earns you a living and yet let it deteriorate to the extent that he did. Its like he got injured and took it as a "yay, holiday for me" moment rather than be disappointed about the disruption to his progress and lack of football he was going to suffer.
So, yeah, he's very talented, could have been a top player easily, but he just doesn't care to. And that's fair enough, success in life to some people is simply having fun.

I agree, but I also thought the same thing with Nani and he managed to turn it around.
Times up for him unfortunately. He's wasting his career at united and we're wasting money on him.
It's so strange because he is Brazilian but he plays like a typical British player: gritty, strong, direct, etc.
From what I've seen from Youtube videos, he seemed to have a lot of flair back at Gremio. So have we been developing him wrong or was it part of the plan?
Fat as fcuk? It's been repeatedly shown that he is far from it and it's just a stigma that people have associated with him - it's become a urban myth.
There was one pic that showed him from a game that was really unflattering and people took that as proof as look he doesn't care and let himself go when he came back. But, there were other pics from the same game that showed a completely different picture.
Another time when people have claimed he is fat, at the end of a game where he had his shirt off it was seen that he didn't look like he carried any extra fat on him.
He may seem heavy set and coupled with the fact that he has had stamina issues has lead to the consistently wrong labeling of him being fat. The stamina issue stems from his injury problems plus several seasons where he's not had the summer off. In fact this season was his first and it looked like he'd over come the stamina issue at the start of the season but, then alas the injury.
So yeah if he is going to be another case of consistently in the treatment room we should consider moving him on but, I wish that's not the case because if he can stay fit, I think he'd still be quite a player to have in our CM.
When he returned from his knee injury he sustained around Jan 2010 in August 2010, he had visibly packed on a lot of weight. Just do a quick google and look at pics of him in both months. Obviously after a while he works on it coz he has to but his irresponsibility in letting his body deteriorate that much while injured says a lot about his drive.
After his knee injury, he had that car accident and it was a bit after that where some of "omg he has put on pounds instead of staying in shape" stories started - from these pics and that was all the proof people needed that he lacked drive as you put it. Even though other pictures showed he hadn't ballooned.
Am sure if you go back in this thread to pre-season, the same thing happened, people saw a couple pics and said "OMG how does he do that, let himself go during the offseason, shows no discipline and desire" - but, other pics paint a different picture.
Maybe he doesn't have the drive but, pictures regarding Anderson are hardly proof because pictures from the same time when people say he's gained a lot of weight has often been met with other pictures that show different. As such pictures are at best unreliable when judging how much weight he has put on, especially if some people are pre-determined to believe he has no drive and desire.
Only way to really know is if you are behind the scenes and privy to his vitals.
As outsiders the only thing we can be sure of is that he has had a lot of injuries which has caused issues with our squad plus probably stunted his own development. SAF is relying on his quality as one of the reasons not to invest in other fairly developed CM and if he is continuously not going to be available for large parts of the season, then no matter how much talent/quality he has - SAF needs to start considering other options and that needs to happen this summer.
How do you work that one out? He's 23 for feck sake and he's hard a hard spell of injuries.
I said it about Nani, I said it about Carrick, I said it about Evans, I said it about Rafael (and I'll repeat it now as he seems to be questioned), the quality is there to see. Just because he's not hit the level you expect right now, doesn't mean he won't.
I think he'll get fit for us soon and be well worth the wait and integral to a successful. You can feckin' quote me on that.
Bobbins. He needs to be playing every week somewhere now to develop and there's absolutely no chance of him getting that here. I think we've wasted him too. We took a super talented attacking midfielder and used him primarily as a box to box midfielder. He's wasted here.

A "super talented attacking midfielder" who scored 3 goals in 25 appearances for Porto. Righto.
Spot on. Also after the first season he had for us there was genuine reason to think he'd kick on to great things. It's sad injuries set in.I think you are wrong Pogue. Don't you remember? Ando was one of the hottest prospect around at that time, it was only a season after his success in the U-17 WC. And if I remember correctly he was also a big hit in the pre season tournament in Amsterdam. After that he broke his leg and didn't feature again before the end of the season. He was also selected to Brazils Copa America squad only 18 years old after been injured for a long time just based on reputation, so I think it was correct to call him "super talented" at that time.
