Anderson

I can understand him wanting to leave due to not playing. It is better than "not enough money" such as nani.

But, I would be more gutted if nani left than if anderson was to.

If he does want to leave, he'll probably get his wish granted this summer anyway.

Is Ando so vital to us that SAF would stop him leaving (and 'several times' too)? Can't see that myself.

Suppose it is difficult for Sir Alex to let go of a talented but injury prone/inconsistent player who is coming into their prime for cheap. You just know he'll have a run without injuries and come good (like RvP) if we sell him.

Perhaps so, but it'd be unlikely to damage us anyway, mate. He'll probably end up back in Portugal or the like.

"Selection? Selection is always good," he said, despite having little hope of being summoned by Luiz Felipe Scolari. Faced by Brazilian journalists with the possibility of returning to Portugal, Anderson said - with a Portuguese accent, said the Globoesporte - since there much to try to quit Manchester United. "What can I say I have three more years of contract, I tried to leave several times and never got it," he said

This looks like they caught him mumbling to himself in front of the buffet

He propably trying to say that he wants more games at United. I don't think he's unhappy here at all.

If he'll stay away from injuries to the rest of the season, he still have chance for a fully successful career.

That's Anderson done at United. I wont be to sad to see him leave he spends 80% of the season either injured or just unfit/overweight and can barely complete 70 minutes of football. He was a huge talent when we bought him that's not fulfilled his potential, I can see him at a mid level Champions League club in the summer.

Crazy to see him on a list with Messi, Rooney, Fabregas, Aguero etc when he won Golden Boy in 08, that along with the 30m fee we paid for him shows the type of player we could have had and what we ended up with.

If him, Scholes and Fletcher all leave this Summer then our midfield will be very thin.

(pun intended)

Maybe he's so fat because he really wants to leave and he thinks Fergie will get tired of it?

If those quotes are true he can do one. We've stuck by him for so long when he's underperformed and been injured.

He's uploaded a photo on his instagram on which he has written: Not true, love stay Manchester.

Looks like the quotes were fake or hes backtracking.

I've started to have my doubts about him recently, and I've been a major fan of his for some time, despite his bad look. If he wants to feck off, might as well let him. I don't think he could ever be consistent enough for a team like us now, or even a high team in europe. ( this is my thinking at the moment... I'd happily be proved wrong as I'm a big fan of his...)

Stay Manchester is a hotel I stayed in when I was up there. It was nice to be fair.

Is his English really still no better than this after 5 or so years?Shocking in itself I reckon.

I think he's backtracking. I could be wrong though.

I don't think those quotes are real. He's always posting United pics and logos on his instagram. It all seems very out of character. In any case he's refuted them now.

Glad to see him refuting it. My first impression was probably taken out of context or more likely have been talks about the possibility of him leaving. If I remember right there were similar quotes that came out after the big knee injury.

Every time we get pictures of him training or otherwise- he just seems happy. For someone that has desperately tried to leave, he sure does put on a great happy face.

I can't believe that these reports are true.

The most unbelievable part is that Fergie would keep someone at the club if they were desperate to leave and hadn't contributed a great deal over the last few seasons anyway. It's not in his dna to do that kind of thing.

I'm a fan of Anderson and it's clear that if he can shake the injury issues and get a run in the side then he could be a brilliant player for us.

The quotes were obviously fake. Skysports are really losing their touch by quoting unreliable sources so readily these days.

Fergie would never keep a player who didnt want to be here.

People are so quick to jump on a story, these quotes might prove to be fabricated. I really wouldn't think Anderson would still be here and would sign a 5 year deal in 2011 if he was so desperate to leave.

Sounds like fabricated bollocks to me. If anything it'll be something lost in translation... but I'd be suprised if he's said that, at this stage of the season, after coming off the bench during our biggest game so far this season (true, it may not be starting, but look at the players who didn't get any game time)...

I don't think he is backtracking, I think we are taking the wrong meaning of what he meant. 'I have tried to leave Manchester many times' - maybe when he wasn't getting chosen or was too fat or injured. Now he is getting runs of games and should be happy.

Maybe he just has problems boarding planes? Wrong gates, wrong terminals, wrong flight numbers, forgetting your passport, being overweight (baggage wise of course)... These are problems any common man can face.

Yep I recon it's a lost in translation thing going on here.

What's more credible to believe, a quote direct from the person's own internet page, or some obscure translated quote from some magazine that may or may not be real from somewhere at some point in time?

Come on, you really believe what Anderson says? Pfft, Im sure its common knowledge that every footballer and manager tells lies all the time regarding transfers!

Well of course those quotes were fake. Can't believe people took them for real
