The Brazilian Run Away Gene.
The press will undoubtedly ask Sir Alex about it at tomorrow's press conference.

I dont jump into conclusions unless I hear something official or from a trustworthy source

Why the feck did he go to Brazil? Stupid of him if true. I thought he was in line for a start at Arsenal but I guess not.

If you saw the women on Copacabana beach every day then you would completely understand. In fact you would probably wonder why he didn't go AWOL sooner when you compare the lifestyle to the middle of winter in Manchester!

Yeah, I feel so sorry for him, how much are we paying him a week, more than enough to put up with Manchester brasses and a bit of drizzle.

Footballers career is about 10 to 15 years long tops, and he can even spend half of it wherever he wants - let it be Vasco or Gremio - and another half at a top team that will pay his wages, however big they are. Then they retire, and if they had sane financial advisers, they will not have to work much after that.

Hell, I could spend 7 or 8 years anywhere if I knew I could retire at 30 and never worry about money issues. It's not like Manchester is Siberia or anything.

Yeah, especially after Searl never lived up to his promise as a youngster and left the club in disgrace.

That'll be my request to just have my username be "Searl" if Ando ever leaves us on such a sour note.

Mind you, i'dd probably get something like "Kinder Searlprise" or something

WHERE IS ANDERSON? THE GAME

Can you spot Anderson in the crowd at a Cuba game?

ANDERSON was poised to make his escape from Old Trafford last night.

He is on the verge of a loan move to Lyon, which could include a swap deal involving French international keeper Hugo Lloris.

Manchester United's misfit midfielder, fined £80,000 this week for going AWOL back home in Brazil, hopes to resurrect his career in France after falling out of favour with boss Alex Ferguson.

The 21-year-old flew home to meet up with Vasco Da Gama officials when he should have been training in Manchester.

A spokesman for his agents, Gestifute, confirmed the Lyon link.

He said: "We are working towards some authorisation with United.

"The subject could be closed this weekend."

It is thought Lloris, 23, would welcome a switch to the Prem. But he must be convinced it is in his best interests to understudy current United No 1 Edwin van der Sar, now 39.

If Lloris arrives, Fergie will know that both Ben Foster and Tomasz Kuszczak will have serious questions to be answered about their Old Trafford goalkeeping futures.

The fecking Sun with their moderantly believable not not at all close to trustworthy articles.

Why in gods name would Lyon part with their starting keeper whilst they still have a CL campaign and league title to chase?

Well transfer window closes Monday (am assuming since Sun is 31st and they close the window on the next business day). I doubt we'd do it. We'd be left with 3 recognized midfielders for the run in. I am not counting Gibbo, OH and Giggs for the run in, it would be a big mistake.

Hopefully someone tomorrow has the balls to ask SAF about Ando in the press conference.

If this news is true, then Anderson's united future must be in doubt.

He would have been very likely to have played against Arsenal with Carrick and Fletcher as Scholes is unlikely to start another match in a row and I can't see United playing two strikers at the Emirates. City was the more likely of the two to play 4-4-2 and the Anderson, Carrick and Fletcher trio have mullered Arsenal on plenty of occasions in the past. By fecking off he's taken that option away from Fergie just when the big games are coming thick and fast.

So I guess against Arsenal Giggs will move into the centre to take the role Anderson would have been given with Carrick and Fletcher and Nani or Park will be shifted to the left alongside Valencia, which still looks good on paper and gives Nani a further chance to build on his good recent form.

I hope he comes back and smoothes this over as I still believe he has the makings of a top player and while we slowly replace the likes of Giggs and Scholes, the more continuity and progress from those already within the club, the better.

BTW - I think the Lloris swap story is bullshit but the news about him going to Rio(which looks true) still places his future in doubt

This is insane if true. Lloris is going to be class but so is Anderson. We don't need a new keeper this season but we need Anderson for the options he gives us and his potential to become an Essien-like figure in our midfield.

I've blown his trumpet since he arrived but going AWOL is a poor show for a pro footballer. Hope he stays put, learns and takes a second chance(if Fergie gives him one).

I'll be gutted if he leaves, he has too much potential to be flogged for disciplanary reasons.

Replacement in midfield needed if he's off. Moussa Sissoko looks to be a talent and is only 20. Wouldn't of thought he'd cost the Earth either.

"The Sun was yesterday given a grim prediction of gordon brown's political future – from a tarot reader.

We consulted a mystic to forecast the future of the embattled pm before he gave his key speech – billed as make-or-break – at the labour party's annual conference.

In an eerily accurate moment, manchester magician andrew normansell, 39, laid out the tarot cards and turned over depictions of the ace of swords and the empress – a female figure coming to the rescue.

Just hours later mr brown's wife sarah was heaped in praise after giving an impassioned speech before introducing her husband on to the stage to a thunderous round of applause." - The Sun, 24th September

News!!!...in your face!!

You seem skeptical of the integrity of The Sun's journalism Mockney. Surely newspapers only print the truth?

:D

Where are you getting these from?

Edit: The last one is from a Liverpool site and you haven't even had the decency to upload the image to a free hosting site.

You're effectively stealing bandwidth from Scousers. I love a good bit of irony.

Very unlikely that we let go a midfielder in the middle of the season, esp. since we are struggling with form and injuries
