Is it a sale or a loan? A loan deal could turn out to be alright for us and Anderson...

A loan deal would be a disaster for us, unless there's another CM coming the opposite direction.

Anderson's blown hot and cold this season but he will be badly missed if he's not replaced.

According to one of the tabloids he was fined 80K and some form of deal may be signed by the end of the week

Lyon ? That's interesting, they do struggle for a Juninho replacement and some physicality in the midfield would be welcome given the Ederson disappointment

I can't see this happening nonetheless

We would be short if we don't get someone in.. but lets say we sign a Sissoko and send him out on loan to get games could work out beneficial... But i agree would be really rushed considering the timing. Why not swap him for Pjanic..

If Anderson indeed has fallen out with Fergie, there is no way he'll stay at the club. And I'd take Lloris in a heartbeat, though I doubt there is any truth in this swap-rumours.

I hope we dont end up losing him. Still strongly believe he's a gem.

Sauce? or this another papers are always right bull shit. He may have family issues for all we know.

It's just the impression I got after seeing the way in which the whole thing was reported.

You know there were times when they got it right - even if rarely, but my feeling is that this could be one of them.

Tbh I see the swap deal a far-fetched thing, but imo there is something going on with Anderson for sure..

Me too. However, if he is not up for it and cant fight for his place, plus fecks off to Brazil without permission (if that is true), then he seems to be a bit of an idiot and we know how Fergie would deal with players with an attitude like this

To be fair, it's fairly obvious something is up.

Having been an integral member of our CC team for the last two seasons, it's bizarre that he wouldn't even make the bench on Wednesday, not to mention fail to turn up in the stands or in any of the celebration photos (cf John O'Shea)

Combine this with not making the squad last weekend, absolutely no mention of any injury, the Brazilian press saying he's in Rio (including a quote from the man he was alleged to meet up with) and all the UK red tops saying there's been a major falling out with SAF.

I mean, we can stick our fingers in our ears and bang on about "paper talk" all we want but sometimes the evidence is overwhelming.

This is getting ridiculous. Llrois is their first choice goalie. Surely it would be madness for them to send him on loan.

Yesterday it was Vasco who were getting him on loan and today its lyon, tomorrow Juve in all probability.

Guess the journo's are making up stories as they see fit.

We're not well equipped in GK dept. and Lyon are blessed there.

2+2=22 situation.

I'm beginning to worry now, not seen anything related to it from the press conference so far. Normally we would get our denial by now.

There is something going on for sure, and I doubt he is in Manchester right now. However, I doubt the stories about him leaving in January, as we need every (fit) player! 2nd, he is a talented player who cost a lot, not sure Fergie would let him go unless he really pissed him off big time

Well it seems to be talk about a loan deal til the end of the season. It just makes no sense to me.

I'd imagine that there's something going on with regards him being in Brazil and most understand that. But the rift talk is is whats a little confusing actually. In all his interviews, he never came across as the person to scruff off in anger every time fergie shouts at him. Plus he didn't play all that badly in the previous games (Leeds and Burnley). So him getting massive spit on his face from fergie can't be true.

Hope something comes out in the press conference today.

could be good for him, could be bad for us

If he wants to make the Brazil squad for the world cup a loan deal would be great for him. I'm wondering if this was planned anyway and the papers are just creating a bust up story.

He was fairly poor against Leeds IMO but the catalyst for this alleged bust up was the first leg of the CC semi, when he was absolutely dire.

I was of the opinion that he and Valencia alone escaped from fergie's wrath after that game.

Maybe i'm clutching straws, but one dire game's aftermath couldn't have been that bad. And fergie, does most times put his arm around for foreign youngsters.

You are very good at putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 700.

There will be a club statement when the time is ready(possibly at press conferences today) anything else is "paper talk" and nothing else.

I think you'll find the list of evidence in my post you quoted adds up to a number much close to 4 than it is to 700!

The only way this would make any sense is if we're signing a top quality CM this weekend. However There is probably more chance of me playing on Sunday against le arse than that, so to say I find the whole loan move strange is an understaement of epic proportions.

What if Carrick or Fletch get injured? Scholes certainly can't play 2 games a week.

If we're not gonna bring a replacement in we MUST wait till the summer before letting him leave.

To be fair, i hope they come out with a reason than just say paper talk.

If it's just a case of Anderson being punished then we more than likely won't hear anything.

I think that is obvious. Unless we have not a quality player about to sign for us (which is very unlikely), I highly doubt Fergie would let him go

Unless there is some truth to the rumours that he and Fergie had some sort of row. In that case, Fergie wouldn't think twice about showing him the door.

Or could be family problems. Home sickness.

Is the press conference going on now? Isn't any journo asking the question?

It's already happened, the official site is only quoting about the arsenal game, Rio's ban and the Smalling signing and how we signed him because he is a great prospect when Ferguson was asked if it meant that Vidic was leaving.

It would be a shame if we were to sell him or even loan him out! Lets hope he starts against Arsenal and has a blinder putting to bed all these rumours..

For Sir Alex even to thinking of selling Anderson, things would have to be VERY bad.

And there is one reason only for that; the boy will be a top class player.
