Arsenal vs. Manchester United

Man Utd manager Sir Alex Ferguson: "Nemanja Vidic had a setback in training so he's out. Cesc Fabregas is the main man for them and has been for a couple of years, I think he's their key player and he's matured a lot in the last couple of years. We need to win today, that'll be obvious when we set about it."

Exploits space, has a wonderful footballing brain. Takes defenders away from the striker, makes owenesque runs down the middle. Available most times in the box when the crosses come in.

His attacking game is vastly underrated by many here. He's not the best player in the world, but he helps stretch defenses. And with Arsenal, thats always a good option.

Yeah and he finishes like owen..;)

I'm confident

Last time we won at the Emirates in the league was in 2005.

So we're due one...

So if we win this game and play well will everyone shut the feck up about 4-5-1 being shit?

Having an opinion and delivering gloomy judgements before the game even begins probably instigated by the announcement of teamsheets are two absolutely different things. Its obvious you fail to see the difference so please dont let me stop you, carry on.

I wouldnt because 1. I'd rather watch united and 2. Its childish trawling through someone's posts trying to prove your point especially when its not a footballing topic. I still think the same about you and fair enough you dont agree.

it's also rather silly making generalisations about people that are utterly untrue then being unable to back it up when challenged.

Arsenal 3 United 1

That is what I think. Hey and I'm the one that said we would take city out...so its just a hunch thats all....not condemnation. Just reality...

Come on lads, get stuck in and play with passion and character. That's all I ask from you.

We were always going to play 4-5-1 away to Arsenal. Hell, we played 451 at Home. We played it last year against them. Why do you think we would play any differently this time round.

Get it straight. 451 is what we will ALWAYS play against strong opposition.

We've had 2 defeats and 1 draw with Evans and Brown together.

My biggest concern to be honest. Brown doesn't fill me with confidence and Evans needs someone who isn't dozy in defence around him to have a good game. Then again, Arsenals main threat will come from the midfield so at least they shouldn't get beaten in the air. (gulp)

Eh?

I don't think you can generalise about formations anyway. It's horses for courses innit?

That was my point really... had shit performances and good performances with 4-5-1. Had shit performances and good performances with 4-4-2. Sometimes the tactic might be a debatable choice for certain games but it does seem to have a ridiculous amount of blame attributed to it whenever we underperform.

Time to be as positive as I hope the players are from the very first whistle. 2-1 win with Fletcher, Rooney and Nani important to winning the midfield and the scoreline.

Any radio links for this? I tried 5Live but it won't play here in Oman...and TalkSport have got the news on

Thanks

Just logged in. Saw the line ups. No surprises. Expected Park on. This is the most defensive line up SAF could put out there. Hope it pays off

I have seen it for a while now which is why I said it. Challenged ? Back it up ? Big words there. Its a forum, if you cant take people's opinion about you, (which will be varied, from the best to the worst) then I reckon you shouldnt post on an internet forum.
Anyway, gametime, I'm off.

My result on FIFA was 0 - 0.
