Arsenal vs. Manchester United

VDS
Brown-Vidic-Evans-Evra
Fletcher-Carrick-Anderson
Valencia-Nani
Rooney

is what were likely to see

Yup that's the team I'd play!

I wouldn't trust Rafael against Arsenal's movement and passing, and Arshavin in particular.

I reckon Bendtner will be sub and come on if we're down but with Almunia in goal I don't think you'll have a problem scoring!

What's the odds on Anderson getting first yellow?

If we are palying 4-5-1 then the key to win the match is providing Rooney with good support and not leaving him isolated and I think Carrick did a great job supporting Rooney in the 2nd half of city game.

Who else reckons vermaelen is a definate to play?

I don't know, but if you PM me your address, then I will definitely post you this mug.

No its untried but I believe Nani's movement and pace could cause arse defence a few problems.

There's a good chance we'd see.

----------back four----------
---Fletcher----------Carrick--
------------Giggs------------
Valencia-----------------Nani
------------Rooney----------

If we go for a 4-4-2, Park will provide more cover in defense, with Valencia, who is more attacking minded, will join Berba-Rooney up top....but I'd say it is very unlikely to play a second striker, especially since Valencia-Nani are in form and they seem to work well with Wayne.

I just pray to God we don't concede first. It will be though to win from behind with a lone striker

If those 11 were chosen to start, it'd be Nani on the left and Giggs through the middle supporting Rooney.

Nani played attacking mid for Sporting didn't he... but yeah if that was the personnel, he'd be wide with Giggs as the furthest forward midfielder.

agree...it would be pretty laborious after that...;)

Wes seems dodgy at CB recently...He was the reason for the Villa goal.

If they play Campbell, it won't really be all that easy. He was OK in the last match he played. he makes up for his lack of pace by reading the game.

Pretty even match all in. Should be a cracker.

You'll want to get a new iPod or at least reinstall the software then, for 'definate' is not an actual word in any context.

It'd be cheaper for you to remove the stick from your arse than for him to buy a new ipod

Do missing punctuation and bad grammar piss you off to?

3-1 sounds like a win to me

so yes we have!

Sorry. Was thinking only in the league terms.

Doubt you can infer anything from that win. We scored early in a knockout match and it changed the scenario completely.

I was slightly optimistic earlier but not I think we'll be lucky with a draw.

Just on my way down to the ground now.

Look out for a:

BUILT BY BUSBY
DESTROYED BY GLAZER

Bedsheet ;)

i did mean the league ..

hmm . arsenal might not be full strength , but its still going to be a very tough fixture .

giggs in the middle anyone ?

4-5-1 is the most likely formation to counter their 3 in the middle

Rooney was brilliant on the left last year against the top teams.

I'd go with Valencia, Carrick, Fletcher Giggs, Rooney and Berbatov playing an advanced role.
