Love this bit of the article....surely you can match what lowly Leeds achieved ;)

Leeds and Manchester United have had contrasting seasons which can’t begin to be compared, but if the Manchester club are to keep on the tails of Arsenal and go top for a couple of hours at least in a now familiar weekend agenda, they will have to achieve something only their rivals in white have done this season: win at St James’ Park.

Toon Toon Black and White Army :p

If Keano hopes to stand a chance against Vieira at Highbury it's imperative that he keeps fit. Three games on the road to quality opposition in the space of eight days may be too much of a strain. Butt and Ole probably deserve a chance anyway. Micky is probably out, but i'm confident with John.

------------- Barthez -------------

G Nev --- Rio --- Wes --- O'Shea

Becks --- Scholes --- Butt --- Giggs

-------- Ole --- Ruud --------

Although saying that, Phil could provide ample steel in the midfield. In fact, whether he or Butt starts doesnt really bother me; they dont have Speed so we can take advantage.

Quality - did you ever hear the rose's cover version of "Let's get ready to rumble"?

where do you get all of these pictures form they are so funny and so true. Bye bye Newcastle <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

I've just got that little bad feeling that our morale ain't gonna be that good, and we might slip up...

I think the players confidence has dropped a little, and having such an important (and quite hard) away match after such a performance in Europe is not what you would have hoped for...

Had the match been at OT, I would have been much more confident...

Please United, prove me wrong!

KERM ON UNITED!!

I wish I was as confident as I was last weekend. For some reason I was totally chilled before the Poo game, and as we know stayed that way!

Tomorrow is scary. I know we have a good record against Newcastle but I think the disappointment of losing to Real will weigh heavy on the players.

Come on boys, prove me wrong, let's storm to Premiership glory!

Silvestre is fit but I think he needs a break. I think he'll be start againt Arsenal. Beckham is most likely to be out, so that probably means Ole Keane Butt Giggs in midfield Scholes and Ruud in attack.

I hope you're wrong, because otherwise it would make the players an assemblement of idiots. Oh feck we screwed up in Madrid, now let's screw up our only other hope of winning a trophy too!
Somehow I can't believe that they will be that dumb. If anything, I think they might try even harder as they realize our CL dreams are probably yet again delayed until further notice.

It doesnt really work like that though does it, sadly.

Let's be honest, we had the piss taken out of us on tuesday night and thats got to effect confidence. A team with low confidence will always do poorly in matches, i think thats what he was trying to get across.
<img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

It works both ways. Sometimes when teams lose, it makes them even more determined to do better next time. On the other side of the coin it can sometimes crush a team. I'll go for the former. ;)

My optimism has perked up this morning. I've just read SAF's notes on the Real game and he talks about how great the football was and though our defending was poor for the goals we have nothing to be ashamed of. As for today he says the extra days rest from playing on Tuesday is a bonus. He loves the atmosphere at St James, and knows it'll be a cracking game win, lose or draw.

I think having got ourselves back into the race superbly, we will be fired up to win it now. We will be at them early today.

My Prediction: A 2-0 win for us

COME ON!!
:D

------------- Barthez -------------

G Neville --- Ferdinand --- Brown --- O'Shea

Solskjaer --- Keane --- Butt --- Giggs

-------- Scholes --- van Nistelrooy --------

you are right Paz.I hope nothing bad happens today .

My team would be -

Barthez
Neville
Silvestre
Ferdinand or Brown
O'Shea
Ole
Keane
Neville P
Giggs
Scholes
Ruud

No point risking Beckham with Arsenal on Wednesday.

Today's game and the Arsenal will be the deciders. If we lose today and win at Arsenal then it's all still very tight.

Radio 5 I would imagine - not sure of the frequency. Where are you then?

at work Liv.

I have an old radio and cant find 5 live.

Iv had a look on Utd.com 2 see if its on there - but no joy....!

You might be able to get it here <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/live/surestream.ram" target="_blank">http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/live/surestream.ram</a>

Its
Barthez
Brown Ferdinand Silvestre O'Shea
Solsjkaer Butt Keane Giggs
Scholes
Nistelrooy

Subs: Phil Gary Ricardo Blanc Forlan

I reckon O'Shea will be left back, as Mickey is faster and will take on Bellamy. Gary and Beckham I presume have been dropped.

Though thinking about it, since Becks isn't on the bench either maybe he's being rested and has a slight knock - anyone know?
