Birmingham City v Manchester United

This. 4-5-1 why, oh why? We're playing Birmingham not Barcelona. If Birmingham had come to Old Trafford with that formation we'd have said they'd come for a draw. We failed to real create anything after the Birmingham goal, and thought we were a bit fortunate to nick a point based on the 2nd half performance, a draw probably about right overall though. Not sure why it took Fergie so long to put a 2nd striker on either. I just feel we are missing a bit of presence in the team at the moment. At least everyone else keeps chucking points away too!

Funny post. The great irony being Barcelona play one up front every match. Some of you wankers don't have a clue about football tbh. If it's not 4-4-2 it's negative, is that it? Twats.

Boohoo, so we don't look like one of the greatest club sides in the history of football. Woe, woe.

Taking the last 8 games alone, Birmingham would be top of the league. A point is a good result, and we played well for the majority.

Anyway, toodle pip if you can't tolerate a United side who might possibly
not be as good as ther glorious predecessors.

I hate people who can't stand a bad word being said against their team. It's not a fecking crime to say we haven't looked that good this year - it's fact. FFS.

She's not saying she's not supporting as anymore, just that we could be better and it's disappointing that we're not.

Get a fecking grip.

Thanks mate :D

Did you think that was a positive formation we put out today? Pop Messi in there for Park and you might have a point.

It's not about comparing the team to Law, Best and Charlton; do you really think the last two results the players played up to their own standard, never mind glorious others?

what i can't tolerate is people accepting mediocrity - as you appear to be.

He is a top red and too many on here can't seem to accept we are shit atm but that won't obviously make me stop supporting this team though.

Some just need to accept it and stop acting like twats, we seem to be in a transition period atm.

Every time this happens, people trot out the old transition argument.

Surely transition should be avoided - if you're champions of England, you go on to strengthen the side by clever/sensible building. You change players gradually, and in this day and age, you can't put all your faith in youth, nice as the idea might be.

Yea imagine drawing to the league's most in form side. You'd never catch the rest of the top 4 doing that. Oh wait.

i don't give a rat's buttocks about the other teams in the top four.

i'm a united fan and have been for many many more years than i care to remember and frankly we're a shadow of the team we were last year- and that, to me, is a worry

exactly - and you at least try to fill the void, even in part, left by the world's greatest footballer.

Thanks mate :D

United got a point with Park ... probably because Park pressured Dann to put the ball into his own net.

how about pop Nani in for Park..? or is that an outrageous suggestion?
(he's not injured is he?)
Didn't we by him cos he was skillful, fast, could go past people and could score goals? Or have we decided he suddenly doesn't have any of these qualities?

And have I completely lost the plot or does anyone else think Park would do a good job of shielding the back 4 with 2 from Scholes/Carrick/Anderson in front of him. He covers ground well, can win ball, and give it to these two to feed the front 3 in which ever positions they are deployed.
I will even venture a formation for you all to take the piss out of.

GK
Rafael, CB,CB,Evra
Park
MF,MF
Valencia,Nani(Obertan)
Rooney

Anyone? or Coat time?

This ^

I am not a doom monger, far from it. But we are playing shite this season. Name me 3 amazing league performances? Hmm...I can't think of 3.

We're just lucky the other teams in the top 4 keep dropping points.

Spurs away, West ham away, Wigan away, Wigan home, Chelsea away ( if we had won that game 1-0 everyone would be raving)

Btw. how many off you were scared to death when Larsson stamped on Rooney's foot and Wayne looked like injured. I definitely was. :nervous: Thank God it was nothing.

I immediately thought 'Oh shit he's done his metatarsal again' :nervous:

Barcelona don't put Wayne Rooney up top on his own.

Ridiculous comparison.

They also had Messi....we had Ronaldo.

We don't have that sort of player right now...so it will struggle to work.
