Team should be...

GK: VDS

RB: Rafael
CB: Vidic
CB: Smalling
LB: Evra

RM: Nani
CM: Fletcher
CM: Carrick
CM: Scholes
LM: Park

CF: Berbatov

Subs: PIG, Neville, Evans, Ferdinand, Gibson, Hernandez, Macheda

0-1

-------------PIG-----------
Rafael--Smalling--Vidic--Evra
Nani---Scholes--Carrick--Obertan
-----Berbatov--Macheda----

Really hope we play full strength. Turkey is a hard place to go to and we need to seal the 10 points.

van der Sar

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Fletcher
Scholes
Carrick

Nani
Berbatov
Park

SUBS: Kuszczak, Brown, Smalling, O'Shea, Anderson, Obertan, Hernandez.

Important to get the 3 points and have that 10 point platform before the Valencia and Rangers games.

I'd go -

van der Sar

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Fletcher
Scholes
Park

Nani
Berbatov
Hernandez

-------------VDS------------
Rafael----Rio----Vidic----Evra
Nani----Scholes-Fletch---Park
--------Berba---Chico--------

Subs: PIG, Brown, Smalling, Carrick, Anderson, Obertan, Macheda.

Would love to get 3 points, take us to 10 points in the group and we're virtually safe to go through into the knockouts.

van der Sar

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Fletcher
Scholes
Carrick

Nani
Berbatov
Park

SUBS: Kuszczak, Brown, Smalling, O'Shea, Anderson, Obertan, Hernandez.

I like this line-up. We should beat them, given that we can keep this momentum going.

2-0 would suffice.

We should play the strongest team available
The sooner we pick the 10 pts the better

I'd like to see Smalling, Evans, Fabio, Anderson, Obertan and Bebe all get starts leaving something like:

Kuszczak
Brown Smalling Evans Fabio
Bebe Carrick Anderson Obertan
Berbatov Hernandez

Id like to see Nani/Ferdinand/Berbatov rested for this one, we have some key premier league games coming up, wolves is a must win and then we have 2 very tough away games at City and then Villa 3 days later, we're going to need our best players fit and raring to go, Nanis played every game this season so far including full games during the international break so id leave him out personally, same for Berbatov and Rio seems to be being nurtured at the moment so with the week we have coming up i wouldn't be surprised if he was left out totally.

We're in a strong position in the group and really should be beating the likes of Bursaspor even without two or three key men, even a draw wouldn't be a bad result to be honest, just think with some really tough games coming up we can afford to rest a few for this one, 3 points against wolves is more important than 3 in turkey in my opinion.

Kuuszazck

Brown
Smalling
Vidic
Evra

Park
Scholes
Carrick
Obertan

Hernandez
Macheda

Would be what id go with.

----------------PIG--------------

O'Shea
Fletcher
Obertan
Macheda
Hernandez

Ok, i've gone for 6 changes from the weekend to freshen things up a bit. I've kept a relatively experienced lineup as Turkey is a notoriously difficult place to go to.

Van Der Sar shouldnt need to play in this one, PIG should be more than capable. Brown seems to be playing himself into some form so it'd be worth giving him another opportunity. Rio will be needed for the next 3 on the bounce so can see him getting a breather, likewise with Evra.

I dont think Fletchers been playing at all well recently so i think Carrick could be worth persevering with for a while to hopefully play him back into top form, because i think all he's missing is a few games on the bounce and the added confidence that will bring. Anderson will give us legs in midfield. Park and Nani will hopefully play as well as they did at the weekend and hopefully we can get numbers forward to support the lone frontman.

I think a priority will be to get a couple of goals up so we can get Nani a breather as he's been playing continuosly later. i'd expect Obertan to get on at this point.

Can see us grinding out another european away win. 1-0 Hernandez 76 mins

Like the team and like the reasoning, I think we'll rest Nani as he's been in the wars a bit lately and can see Fergie wanting to keep him out of a hostile atmosphere. Can see Obertan starting, he deserves it tbh

Asked by MUTV if he might be tempted to leave some of his big names in Manchester, Sir Alex said: "I'd rather take a strong squad and try to make sure we move closer to getting through to the next stages.

"If we win we'll be on ten points and we're virtually qualified then. That's the way I need to look at it.

"If there are any doubts [over players' fitness] I won't take them, but it looks like they're all okay," added the boss, who saw his side beat the Turkish champions 1-0 at Old Trafford eleven days ago

ManUtd.com will bring you the travelling squad on Monday morning. You can also follow our 'Today in Bursa' blog throughout United's stay in Turkey.

good to see us getting the job done, hopefully, with a decent XI and then start pissing around with "resting" players. If we get the 10 or so, points, which should be enough to qualify we can send out weaker teams in the last two games leading up to Christmas.

-----------------------Kuzczak---------------------

--Brown---------Rio-----------Vidic--------Fabio---

--Nani---------Scholes--------Anderson------Obertan--

--------------------------Park-----------------------

-------------------Berbatov-------------------------

Subs: Amos, Neville, Evans, Sheasy, Gibson, Bebe, Macheda
Prediction:1-2 victory. Berbatov, Park

Rio isn't travelling for the game, no reason given so far, from what I can see. Don't know if he is just being rested with an eye on the City game next week, or if he is actually injured.

Evans, Macheda, Anderson, Owen, Rooney and Giggs also not travelling.

Does anyone know whether Macheda or Anderson are injured?

Squad for the game tomorrow:

Utd: vdS, Amos, Kusz; Evra, Wes Vida, Small, Rafa, Fabio, O'Shea; Eikrem, Scholes, Obertan, Bebe, Fletch, Carrick, Park, Nani; Berba, Chicha

From that squad, I would go with:

................VDS
Raf...Smalling..Vidic..Evra
Nani..Fletcher..Carrick..Obertan
.....Chicharitio..Berbatov

With no strikers apart from Berbatov and Chicharito in the squad it is a little difficult, I could see us going with one up top and keeping the other to freshen it up later in the game, in that case I would reckon Park would start in place of whomever comes out of the side for him.

Would expect to see Bebe get some minutes, and I would like to see Eikrem get some time but I don't see it happening.

With Owen injured, and seemingly Kiko too, I am surprised Keane hasn't been included in the travelling party, for experience and 'just in case' backup too.

That squad looks abit thin and we have Wolves, City and Villa after this all in the space of 3 days. Anderson and Kiko have reported injuries? Hope Wes and Obertan both get a full game tomorrow.

We had to find some way to even the playing field a bit for them.

the squad is looking stretched, don't understand why macheda, anderson and rio have all been left out? :annoyed:

but we should still have enough strength in our squad to beat Bursaspor.

I could see something like this:

------------Kuszczak---------------
----Rafael-Smalling-Vidic-Evra-----
Bébé-Fletcher-O'Shea-Scholes-Nani
-----------Berbatov---------------

Subs: Van der Sar; Brown, Fabio; Carrick; Obertan, Park; Hernandez

Seems Gibson is out too, they couldn't be fit or there wouldn't have been three defenders on the bench on Saturday, think we'll see O'Shea in midfield to save Carrick or Fletcher for the Man City game.

I expected Ferdinand to sit this one out, but Anderson and Macheda are surprises (though they were left out against Spurs IIRC so maybe there is a problem with them). I actually wanted to see Nani rested, but it's looking unlikely now. Same for Scholes, Berbatov, Evra... Maybe van der Sar.

I think Berbatov will start up front with Nani and Obertan either side, we'll play three central midfield players again. I suspect two of them will be Fletcher and Carrick, but the other one is a take-your-pick from Scholes, O'Shea, and Gibson. The back four will probably consist of Neville or Brown at Right Back, Smalling and Vidic at Centre Back, and Evra or Fábio at Left Back. Kuszczak could get the nod in goal, but I'd rather van der Sar.

Ferdinand and Park are looking like the players most likely to be left out in order to be fresher for Wolves and City. Hernandez will probably get on as a sub here. Rafael and VDS are seemingly likely to start those games as well, so will probably sit this out.

when is fergie pre-match press conference, should get an update on why some of our key players didn't travelled.

I won't be surprised to see this.

----------- Berbatov ------------

---------Ji-----------------------

Evra----Fletcher---Carrick----Nani

JOS---Rio--------Vidic-------Rafa/Brown

------------VDS-------------------

For my guess, I'm opting SAF to go a bit more defensively and hit them on the counter with Park and Nani to drive through and provide Berbs a chance or they can go alone.

60' Minute if nothing happens and Bura looks tired then we bring on our new Ole' "Little Pea".
