Burton Albion v. Manchester United

The fecking Sky commentary is SO biased eg accused Saha of hand-ball when it wasn't and Bardsley shot on goal was the result of the ball 'bobbling' when it was pure skill.

O'shea and Brown have been our best players.

How many times does it work when there are wholesale changes?

You can say that our reserves should be able to beat Burton, but this is the FA Cup. Shocks have always happened and always will and teams should be taken seriously.

Reserves should be slotted in one or two at a time - maybe three if you include the goalkeeper - not en masse. It's ridiculous and you'd think Fergie would have learned by now. Sheer arrogance.

We're going to win.

Yeah. Sky really hate United.

Lets not blame the pitch.Burton seem to be able to play on it.

I think Rooney would make the difference. I don't think this is the game for Ronaldo - even he'd struggle to control the ball on that sorry excuse of a pitch!

Have to say I'm loving the songs our fans are singing..."Outplayed by Burton...we're getting outplayed by Burton" and hopefully Fergie heard the " Rooney, sort us out...Rooney, Rooney sort us out"

It was an obvious that Burton will be fighting like it's a World Cup final for them. Nothing suprising.

Lack of motivation is probably our problem today. You can't win a football game without a desire to score a goal, no matter who's your rival.

I wouldn't bet against it.

But it's still annoying when we get these mass changes.

They love you so much they tried to buy you.

They like the idea of making shedload of cash. And it wasn't them, it was Murdoch.

I'd imagine Rooney will be on from half-time. It's what Fergie did against Brum.

richie jones, o'shea, richardson and ole in midfield. we look awful.
i know the pitch is bad, but we should be able to pass the ball.
we stand a good chance of losing this one - and we'd never hear the last of it.

c'mon you reds !!!

I think you're all being a bit harsh. On a decent pitch you'd be trouncing them.

It's really down to who gets the luckier bobbles. It barely even qualifies as a football match.

There's no need for changes. The boys seem to be handling things OK.

Cracking game eh?

But why are West Brom playing in yellow and why has Robbo got his kid on the bench?

Maybe Fergie would like a replay. You've a shortage of games this season.

It's obvious that a deal has been done before hand, and United are giving little Burton a late Christmas presie of a trip to OT, thus a bit of cash in their back pocket. Keep em going for at least 10 years. ;)

They all do it. That's why most Prem sides have decent squads.

I don't see the problem.

I don't think it's lack of motivation at all. I think the players are struggling to adapt to the pitch. While the condition of the pitch may seem like an easy excuse, and it is obviously true that both sides have to play on it, it is having an impact on our players, who are not used to having to play on this condition of surface.

I'm confident that they'll adapt and get control of the game...although hopefully in time to score a goal or two....

The pitch shouldn't make that much of a difference.

Yes a marginal difference but not turn a 5 division gap into a sort of equal contest.

Richardson and Silvestre are not ok for me but we don't have much choices. Pity Pique who was having to do two jobs.

Don't understand why people are getting upset TBH.

Me neither.
11 fringe players and Olle hasnt started a match in 2 yrs or so.
0:0 wouldnt be a disaster, not like were going to be having a problem with fixture pile ups this spring or anything.

I thought we improved in the last 10 minutes. Got the ball quicker to the front two.

Have you got Fergie's mobile number then because he looks pretty pissed off.
