BVB (Bottlespielverein Borussia Dortmund) watch | You love to see it | Absolute weapons

For all the study and analysis of Real and how they so consistently manage to win the CL and how that mentality as a club contributes towards that, Dortmund seriously need to be studied for the opposite reason.

That collapse last season in the league was absolutely woeful and the door was open again tonight, only for them to finish 2nd once again.

Maybe it’s the focus on young players, or maybe it’s a lack of belief that they can win the big prizes, but they are very much the team you would want to face or come up against in a pressure situation.

The team wasn't even that young. Four Dortmund starters were 30 or older (one even 35), seven were at least 25 and only two younger than 24, the youngest being Adeyemi at 22. Average age 27 years to Madrid's 27.5.

The reason I'm pointing that out is that Dortmund actually changed up their transfer strategy recently and I think it was a big mistake (they actually seem to think that as well since they went back to the former strategy of signing young and technical players in the winter break).

I don't know why but I wanted them to lose. Maybe it's their Twitter admin.

feck them.

I'm glad they lost. For whatever reason I can't stand them.

I was glad to see them lose also… I think it’s because any player we get from them seems to not pan out, and be priced very high, and then also because of them being like Germany’s Liverpool.

Perhaps it’s contributed to the mentality over the years though. There is definitely something in the psychology of the club. Last season was a complete disaster, it was basically on a silver platter and they still contrived to lose.

Hopefully your club have shown other teams what can be done and will break the spell, so to speak, and make teams that bit more ambitious and hopeful.
