Champions League Round of 16 (14th Feb - 15th Mar)

Maignon has so much presence in goal. You just know every cross or lofted ball into the area will be his.

I laughed so hard when Jenas tried to make Kane a victim of his trophyless career.

Who signed his name on those Tottenham contracts knowing Levy would price him out of a move?

Oh come on, Bayern are a proper team and PSG isn't. Even if he said nothing, they wouldn't have beaten them

I'll be honest, PSG should have taken this. This is the weakest Bayern in years. And prolly the weakest for the next few years as the transition period is almost over. All they need is a good striker and we're set for another good run of seasons. And PSG has a massive collection of individual players there. If the narcissists would have played as a team just once, this would have been a no brainer.

I've had the luck to miss a lot of our games recently. That was truly abysmal.

Conte needs to go. As does Levy.

Milan were so comfortable. Probably should have won the first leg by a couple of goals and this second leg was easy enough

Spurs were genuinely awful. Can't see anything but Kane pushing for a move in the summer.

Stop peddling that BS. We also have a good striker

Not going to lie, feels good to see Bayern be the team that kicks some smug, narcissist bastards out of the tourney.

"Who's the favourite for the return leg, Mbappe?" - "PSG, it's always PSG!" When will people learn not to make statements like that?

I’d argue Bayern are the favorites. Is Mane usually your #9? Moting is average, but with Mane there I think you should go all the way.

He's got to push for a move in the summer surely, if he signs another contract at Spurs he can't blame anyone else for not winning trophies

It will be joke if we allow them to get 4th over us. They are absolutely dire. Wish I hadn’t watched this tonight. Been hanging on to 4th spot by the end of their arsehairs for weeks because us and Chelsea have been out the picture.

I was hoping they’d go through tonight thinking it would add fixture congestion for them but now I’m thinking they just Spurs it anyway in the league so I couldn’t care.

Bayern strong again to force a goal or two, not really anything from PSG, they were quite dull even with Mbappe. Wouldn't want to see more of that in a Super League and I think it would in general get steadily worse.

By all accounts Spurs match not much going on either.

They really shouldn't have. This is also a very weak PSG missing players like Neymar/Kimpembe, , with Verrati having from injury not that long ago, with Marquinhos being half fit and injured early on.
Even with all those players present, PSG play the worst brand of football they've been playing in years. There was no way for them to beat Bayern except for Mbappe to go super Saiyan

Hoddle is great to listen to. We need those midfielders who can turn as well. You can’t be a top team without them.

Nah, absolutely not. Just look at their bench.. Cancelo, Same, Gnabry, Mane..

One of the best Bayern teams in years. They bet

Mane doesn't look comfortable as a true 9. To me at least, I'm sure many will disagree. I agree with your assessment of Moting.

Be interested to see how far Erik can take us in the CL. Europa really just isn't the same.

I don't like Bayern but I am glad they beat PSG, a club with no real history & nobody cared about 20 years ago.

Mane was tried as #9 early in the season and this experiment failed. EMCM simply is better in that position and nailed as a starter since everybody realized that.

Never in doubt.
I had massive doubts before the match

Who ever draws Milan is laughing his ass off.

Probably Shitty the cnuts
Eh. Once they get healthy again there's a bunch of teams left they can beat. Benfica, Napoli, the winner of Inter-Porto...

I wonder if PSG's elimination will result in Christophe Galtier being replaced at the end of the season, they have been linked with Pep and if the Qatari's complete their Man Utd takeover then I can see him probably being willing to make the move to PSG rather than sticking around to compete with the financial might of a Qatari owned Man Utd and a Saudi owned Newcastle.

Bayern's back four is world class.

Alphonso Davies is a beast.
De Ligt and Upamecano are top.
Even the RB Stanišić is a good player.

They're gonna be tough to beat

I think a fit Alphonso Davies is the best LB in the world.

De Ligt and Upamecano seem to have found their groove. Pavard is an upgrade over Stanisic in a back three and Cancelo in a back four.
Lucas Hernandez was Bayern’s best CB until he tore his ACL in the World Cup.

Yes Liverpool can score 3 + but real still can score more than whatever Liverpool score. Liverpool defense not strongest and Madrid midfield will punch with sting whenever they have possibility. Need to dominate them entirely which is not possible by liverpool.
