Charlton v. Manchester United

Great goals by Ruud and Smith :D We should have made it more easy for ourselves but when do we ever do that but great win :D

Big result for us, the knives would have been out from the ABUs in the media and elsewhere had we lost or drawn. Vitally important we didnt drop points after the result against Chelsea, as we did at Pompey after Arsenal last season.

How did Smith play, anyone? Aside from the goal I mean?

Good to see 4-4-2 working well, one of the couple of advantages from Roy's exit.
Again, anyone know how Smith played in midfield? Or the midfield in general?

I thought smith and scholeys were very good in the first half controlling the middle but they kinda lost the grip on it in the second half.

charlton commetators said in the first half he didnt know what he was doing
At least he knew how to put the ball at the back of their net.

A really great result for us, this will improve the confidence of the players.

dont mean to be petty but did Fletch giving the ball away lead to their goal?

I hope that all the optimisti real fans who were all gloom and doom and predicting a loss today are now satisfied and happy with their dire sorry excuse for SUPPORT to our team. How about same real fan please speak up?

It was also a bit of bad luck. Silvestre went on for a tackle and collided with Smith which took them both out of the game. And it was a cracking shot. I wouldn't really blame anyone.
