I didnt see much of the first - was trying everything to a stream. so i went down the pub for the second half.
superbly taken goal by fletcher - he than played well after that with one bad pass. ronaldo and giggsy ran out of steam a little bit and the ball seemed to be bouncing off saha.
it was a little bit nervy at times when they had free kicks but louie took his goal well after being allowed to much time to turn and hit his shot and was right in the corner.
nice finish from ole to seal the points. the work rate was good though and carrick allowed oshea to sit and hold when he came on. we can still do better though but i'm not complaining the points and goals will suffice.

what a great start to the season! im not getting too carried away because we cant take Watford lightly on saturday. I've seen us go into games against lower teams and more or less think we have won before kick off. I hope to see the level of play from the first 2 games and i'm sure we will all be happy chappys come 5pm on saturday night

Fletcher isn't shit but there are better players at the moment in the centre of midfield. He is realistically a long way off Carrick and Scholes and even further off the central midfielders we used to have. He is a good player and the reason people think he is shit is because there are better options available at the moment. However he is only 22 years old and in 5 years he will be a pretty good player. The reason why most of the fans are not on Fletcher's side, is that its at times very hard to fathom his selection when there are so many better midfielders available in the team, or on the transfer market. The lad though limited in skills, does make up with his heart and commitment, but there's still a long way to go before he will convince all his critics like me. To be honest, he did feck all in the first half and that was largely responsible for the lack of creativity coming from the middle and thus goalless.. However, today is all about 3 pts and Ole getting the goal after these years, so lets just enjoy for the moment and leave the Fletcher issue aside..... OLE OLE OLE !!!!!!

Anyway about the game. It was brilliant. We capitalised on their mistakes, the squad players stood up to be counted, Giggs was awesome, Ronaldo did well, good to see Carrick come on and immediately start contributing... and the cherry on the cake was Ole scoring... and when thought it could not get any better, CHELSEA LOSE!
There was no need to have a wank last night!
