Nonsense? Chelsea is fecking trash this season. They are outplaying us and have looked better all game. Mourinhos tactics is always ease into the game, keep it safe, keep it tight, have a slow game and kill momentum. That's his trade mark. That's also exactly the way to give an opposition who is low on confidence a huge boost and let the other team build into the game.

I think this is a valid point, but it’s also worth noting that top level sport is all about mental fortitude. Much more so than talent. It’s always been very hard for me to rate good players who have brittle confidence.

Hes a 20 year old. His manager literally treated him like ass for months, never puts trust in him right after a good game, and the second he has a bad one then he destroys him. The way Mourinho treats young players is basically how yo destroy their confidence bit by bit. I shudder to think how he wouldve dealt with a young Messi or Ronaldo. Hes fecking useless with them. I will always defend proven players when they lose form if it can be attributed to lack of playing time/starts. Every player needs games for confidence and momentum, and those games should include starts. The player should also be used in his best position.
