Chicago Fire v Manchester United - Pre-season friendly

Now that the match is out of the way, we can look forward to the Sneijder questions in the interviews.

FT. Good workout, both sides created chances and they probably should've scored more. Welbeck was impressive, Rooney with a great goal and some nice passes. De Gea did very well with a couple of very good saves and his distribution was excellent.

I wanted to slap those Americans talking to MUTV before the game, but wankers predicted the result...

Not a bad result in the end, Fire played well and we had some luck, but once the more experienced players came on the result was in no doubt tbh

As everyone's saying, a very good workout against a surprisingly half-decent Chicago side. Pretty much everyone got some good game time apart from Lindegaard, Amos, Johnstone, Young and Owen. Most players showed good form for pre-season - if you had to single anyone out, Cleverley and Jones were rusty but that's certainly understandable. At the end of the day, everyone's going to improve with more game time. Roll on the MLS Allstars!

My match ratings:

8 - Rooney

7 - de Gea, Welbeck, Ferdinand, Rafael

6 - Fabio, Smalling, Evra, Obertan, Carrick, Berbatov, Park, Giggs, Anderson, Nani, Macheda, Vidic

5 - Jones, Cleverley, Diouf, J Evans

We are the biggest and richest club in the world, so can someone explain to me why on mutv we have this ugly troll mandy on the sofa... From mrs McQueen to this bland bore. Come on united give us something to look at! She makes me feel sick with her saggy tits

Bit harsh mate.

I was so excited to see our young players back, particularly Welbeck, a superb talent. And it was an enjoyable match, but Harkes is an embarrassing commentator and nearly spoiled the game for me.
