Day 6: Colombia vs Japan, Poland vs Senegal and Russia vs Egypt

BBC might be regretting that studio choice with all the rain coming down.

Very offensive lineup from Poland, bit worried.

@Santos J @RobinLFC Glik is actually with the squad, he's been racing time to get back into the game, the most probably scenario is him getting back against Japan (third match) although it's possibly he'll cure himself for Colombia. Was supposed to be out but he's done some massive, tremendous job getting back.

Someone on here had told me that Glik was out of the WC with a dislocated shoulder but he hasn't been replaced in the squad so I guess they expect him to be fit for some part of the tournament. And is Balde not a regular starter for Senegal or has he just been dropped for this game?

He started their first friendly when Mané was still recovering from the CL final, but has been a sub ever since.

Wow. Well they must really rate that Sarr kid then. Never seen him play. Will be exciting to see how he does.

As much as I like Colombia (god its women:D), I’m overjoyed for the Japanese. Great result for them and this group just got blown wide open.

Disappointed so far with the African teams to be honest (though I thought Egypt almost played it perfectly against Uruguay ) so hoping to see a turn around in fortunes for Senegal and Egypt today.

Come on Poland. Not very optimistic with this ultra offensive line up, but hope Nawałka proves me wrong. Make it happen boys

Poland seem to have a decent enough team by their standards over the past decade or so, country should be hyped.

That’s a surprisingly strong line up for Senegal, on paper. Stronger than Poland, to be honest.

So stupid from Krychowiak to pull his shirt, he would have the ball with his tackling.
