Eden Hazard | "I am signing for Chelsea"

Surely if he has already agreed deals with all three clubs and is happy with wages they're offering, then United are the best option for him? We're by far the biggest club and he'd be following the footsteps of world's most famous footballers like Best, Cantona, Beckham and Ronaldo. City and Chelsea only really have money going for them.

Slightly off-topic, but is it not worth the money then? I was thinking about getting it, but will happily stick with just using the web browser if it's shit...

(I'm sure there's some kind of analogy to the Hazard transfer here, but I can't be arsed to pin it down)

I love it, one of the first apps I re install after a rom change.

the feck?

I cant f.a.p to this.

If he did come surely we would play him at the centre of the 3 in a 4-2-3-1. No way we would splash out for another winger when we have 3 of the top 5 wingers in the country. If he did end up playing wide then one of Nani/Valencia/Young would end up leaving.

We lack a player for that role and I'd be shocked of we didn't sign one.

If, and that's a big If, assuming we have both Hazard & Kawaga deals agreed would it possible our intention to have one public announcememt displaying our new signings so we get our business done early whilst others will be trying to do deals on deadline day...

He isnt a winger, and he isnt really a "CAM" he roams around looking for space.

For Lille he generally started on the left side of the pitch, but he pretty much does what he wants.

He usually cuts in, dribbles and looks for passes / shooting oppertunities.

Personally i would think we would play 4-2-3-1 with nani, hazard, rooney, valencia all roaming around, but valencia would probably keep the width.

It just gives us another option to play - sometimes we got so stuck in 4-4-2 and whipping in crosses we looked out of ideas.

We need to learn how to keep posession better especially for europe, and i think this is the way forward.

I personally think valencia is a problem; as he is so good at what he does, but the way he plays means we are generally stuck in playing 2 wide wingers. If only he could move around a bit and cut inside would be much better.

Can offer higher wages, and they're the CL and Premier League winners. If anything they have more going for them right now. City anyway

Good post.

Let's hope he has his head screwed on right.

I said if he accepted wages from all teams which I assume from what has been said. If it's true then we matched them or at least offered him something he's happy with.

So what if Chelsea have fluked CL win? It's still pretty clear they are long way behind us in terms of quality, as proven in the league. He won't really think 'wow, they won CL, I must go there' because it's still obvious they're not the best team in Europe and not even third best in England.

As for City, we finished level with them and I'd say we're pretty much the same level. We're a much bigger club though and with someone like Hazard we'd probably be better than them on the pitch anyway.

It's really a straightforward choice unless the difference in wages is vast.

Are you joking me?

He said the only really have money over us, and well, that's the case. One PL trophy won on GD doesn't change that.

Now, City have more going for them right now?

I must have forgotten the global pull of Manchester United, world's best supported club. Playing at Old Trafford, playing under Sir Alex Ferguson, our history with young players like Rooney, Ronaldo, Giggs. 76,000 fans every week. Idiolised by millions.

But yeah, City's 1 PL trophy trumps all of that.

Sadly I doubt many of the top drawer players see it this way or even care.

I dont see much hope in signing a player when we compete agaisnt the big spenders.

I think you missed the point Randall. We just took money out of the equation.

Take money out and I'm sure top drawer players see it that way.

But I agree, it pretty much always comes down to money.

Yep, money is always a big issue specially for foreigners with no real connection to any of the clubs. Hazard is one of them, fully expect him to sign for City.

Sky Sports News saying "it is our understanding that Hazard will choose United" - again.

Bold statement. I think it's interesting that Kagawa is keeping quiet and its not announced yet though its looking inevitable - both to be paraded on the same day? ;)

The two most important factors to the vast majority of players are-

1) team's prospects of winning trophies

2) money

I think Hazard will choose us though as I doubt the money gap is as big as City used to offer

feckING COME ON!!! CoCK OUT!

First post in this thread.

feck, I've been snared.

You must have slept through the first couple of Mourinho years at Chelsea. Players went there based on money and a couple of Premier League titles. Essien being probably the biggest example, fairly sure we were in for him

They have to say something or the story is aimless. In a few days they'll start with the "Breaking News: Manchester City have SENSATIONALLY renewed their bid for Eden Hazard".

Is right but the 3 club's appeal is being compared taking money out of the equation. Surely United are ahead of the rest then?

Players are also drawn by other transfers, by other big names. The likes of Valencia, Young and Jones don't generate as much interest and attention as Agüero, Silva or Balotelli.

This is in no way meant to be a criticism of these players' abilities but it's still true.

They went there based on money.

My point exactly.

And Premier League titles. Chelsea looked like they were going to dominate for years; how isn't that attractive to players? City, to a lot of people, look like they could do the same. Essien had the chance to go to Madrid as well if I remember, who were at the end of their ridiculous galactico period and didn't look too hot.

Of course I know I might lose my bet, oh and btw its £70, that's why it's called gambling. Yes I know he is from Belgium but typing on my s2 using tapatalk is a pain and I'm prone to mistakes. Anyways, I don't believe Hazard is coming to United and frankly am not that bothered if he doesn't. Its my opinion that he won't, that's all.

Oops read that wrong.. Thought you put 20 on Kagawa to United and 50 on Hazard to city.. Not a joint bet..

I fly to Brussels Friday and I'm off to Antwep. Top place, love it.
Not going to Brugges this time but I think that is fantastic too, although it's quite expensive

It's all about Antwerp this weekend though!

-----------Welbeck
-----------------Hazard
Nani ------Rooney
------Jones----Carrick----Valenica
Evra
---------Vidic------Smalling

They would probably all play, but not like that. Nani right wing, Valencia right back, Hazard on the left, you have him and Rooney centre behind Welbeck, they'll run into eachother.

3412 if you want Nani on the left though, entirely possible again since we have like 6 CB's right now.
