City have probably been chucking money at him on the sly to build up the transfer 'saga' in order to give them publicity make them appear to be a big club. The deal was probably done weeks ago

What is actually happening here, then? From skimming over the thread, it seems like he's dicking about to no end.

I find it impossible conceive of Ferguson wanting anything to do with such a player.

Yeah, that definitely hasn't been happening.

He's 21 with a young family and away to make the biggest move in his career, with his agent and him wanting the best possible deal. I don't understand all this "arrogance" and "dicking around" claims.

I've yet to see any evidence of him dicking around.

I'm probably just a miserable bugger but I thought that Nike 'Eden Hazard's next move', video was ridiculous. I look forward his TV show announcing a move to Miami.

I'll agree with that, although it was done by his sponsors and he's getting payed for it. I'd imagine he'll have got a nice amount of cash for a minute long video.

Haven't logged in for 3 days and this thread has gone from 79 pages to 135??

What the feck happened?

Have a feeling City will drop out of this and go for Ibrahimovic who is a far bigger and established household name which leave us with Chelsea competing for Hazard. I'm just surprised Barca aren't involved in this, but you'll never know

Seems like Chelsea are after Lucas Moura though. Would they really have Marin, Mata, Hazard and Moura in the same team?

I have heard that they may go for him instead of committing to wait for Hazard, and it does not surprise me in the slightest, I am surprised really that a 21 year old player unproven outside of France thinks he can take the luxury of taking a few weeks to decide and that clubs will just wait for him.

They have Pedro and Sanchez to play on the left, if they get a striker they won't have to play Sanchez up top, they should be fine there, and they certainly don't need more midfielders!

Exactly, the hype he is getting is just mind boggling.Hazard is not the Messi or Ronaldinho of this world,so his PR department must be doing something right.

If people hadn't decided to live inside this thread the hype would be very little.

Whoever he signs for the expectations are now going to be immense, they will need to take his ego down a peg or two and make him realise he has not really proved shit yet, that he is a young lad who has shown bags of potential but yet to prove himself on the big stage.

Its not just this thread though, looking through my Eden Hazard twitter tab in my browser you can see that the hype is in fact 10 times worse than it is in this thread, especially with feckwit reporters getting sucked into fake sites. Yes this thread creates hype but thats the joy of being a muppet in the summer is it not?

Even so, its an indictment of fans from many clubs who think religiously following every second of a potential transfer is better than simply waiting for the club to do its business and then discussing the results. Not the players fault.

He's created a lot of pressure and expectation on himself that's for sure. Hope he's as good as he believes, unless he signs for City or Chelsea, then I hope he's an utter flop.

Why? He never said something that would suggest he wants to be hyped to be the next Messi or something.

He just did what every player does and hasn't said yet who he is going to sign for he just stated which clubs he has a preference playing for which made the muppets of these clubs go into overdrive and jizz all around on forums and twitter by the prospect of signing one of the best talents out there today.

The hype is entirely fan made due to the quality the player undeniable has.

Spot on. Its like a gaggle of infants demanding instant gratification in here. As if the player has to rush a decision to appease the anxieties of transfer muppets the world over.

I concur. All this media whore attention seeking garbage is getting annoying when the lad hasn't really done or said that much.

I'm not sure how people can have a go at Hazard for trying to ensure he is making the right move. He only finished his season a matter of days ago, give him some time to consider his options. From what I've heard has he really hyped himself up? The media has but I'm not sure he has. Anyway you'd expect anyone who is two time Ligue Un player of the year at just 21 to be pretty confident in their ability. This kind of reminds me of how a few years ago people thought nani was a cocky twat just because of his playing style where in reality, he seems very down to earth and modest in interviews and the like

Ive got a feeling in the friendly against England he is going to play like shit, and then everybody will be like  NO THANKS FURLGESUN

Terms have been agreed with 3 clubs according to sky. It's up to the player now.

If we've made a bid then we've matched what city and chelsea are offering.

One thing is for sure, no matter what garbage is written in here, Hazard's decision will not be influenced by it.

If he is destined to become an OT legend then perhaps we should leave it to those already tasked with running the club to make it happen.

Last season we apparently couldn't survive without Sneijder or Sanchez, both of which attracted monster threads, that, although comical, verged on ludicrous.

Let's keep it real and see what transpires.

So if you were a young, unbiased and ambitious, and had to pick between Chelsea, City and United.. where'd you go?

You have to admit we're in with a good chance, given that we're one of the three clubs.

Chelsea - A team that will face difficulties in transition, their best player just left.
City - A place where any attacking player can't be guaranteed a first team spot.

However, if you're being short-sighted and can't see past the recent trophies and a fat pay check then I guess Chelsea and City are favourites.

From what hes saying, he seems to take history and stability quite important; and that can only help us.

I think our track record of improving players and making them stars is our main weapon, city have not done that at all apart from maybe Kompany, but he was always going to be a top player.

Chelsea have shown they would rather buy in big name players than develop youth and structure, so yet again i feel confident there.

The only problem is how much have we offered in money terms compared too the rest? 20/30k a week he could probably miss, but if its more than that it could seriously impact his decision.

If the reports are true, and it's just left for him to pick one of the three, I have a sneaky feeling that Champs League win, and (probably more importantly) the fact that it's London, will mean he'll go to Chelsea.

And if that happens, it's not the end of the world... we'll all just move on to the next target.

I really dont think living in london is that much more important?

The majority of the chelsea players dont live in the capital they live just outside, and your always travelling so much your hardly going to spend much time there.

I think football to him is 100x more important than where to live IMO
