He wouldn't be guaranteed a first-team spot at United, where is this coming from? There's Nani, there's Valencia, there's Ashley Young and we know Fergie loves to rotate.
If I were a young, unbiased footballer I'd either sign for City or wait and see if United sort out the centre of midfield.

Well if the source is right then it's his agent who said it, so yeah I think it is. Then again they didn't mention any teams in particular, just 'all interested teams.'
I'd say it's very important... particularly if you're a young foreign person coming to our country. London is still a very desirable place to live, and has an allure that can't really be matched by any other city in our country.
Maybe I'm overstating how crucial such a thing would be, but I'd be suprised if it didn't factor even slightly on his decision making... ultimately, he does have to up-sticks and move to a foreign country.. but then only he really knows what factor it would play.
Is that from the bit where the agent supposedly said that Hazard will not negotiate anymore and the offers are there and he needs time to decide.. (or something like that?)
I just assumed the clubs had put in their final offers instead of thinking the clubs had met his demands.

Not a cental midfielder either. Can't see him playing next to Carrick. He might become a number 10 in the future but right now I'm almost certain that Fergie would play him as a wide forward. He loves wide players, more than anything in the world.

3 clubs or 30 clubs, the fact is the agent doesn't name the clubs and Hazard is full of shite. He's contradicted himself already by stating he was going to be playing his football in Manchester. So how can he be agreeing terms with three clubs?
My take is that he had already agreed terms with Citeh, then Chelsea won the CL and came in with a late bid, agent takes the bid to Citeh and tries to up the ante, Citeh tell him to feck off and make it public, so the agent can't bullshit Chelsea into a bidding war. The other big players would rather wait and see as there is no way they would justify an outlay of this king for an untried player e.g. Barca/Real
Hazard now contradicting himself again by stating that he won't make a decision until June. This puts pressure on the bidding clubs Citeh/Chelsea to see if theres a few more sheckles to be wrung out of either of them, as Hazards in a win win.
Manchester United were never in the running because there is no fecking way that SAF and the board will pay 35 million plus super wages for a French player whos team finished third, in arguably the weakest French league we have seen in a generation., no matter how silky his skills are. There is simply no precedence in the SAF era to pay those type of wages for an untried 21 year old.
Add to this, that we cannot accommodate him in his preferred position as an advanced left sided winger/forward. That we have Kagawa on our radar, that we need fullbacks and the very real FACT that there is no way SAF will make a numpty of himself by buying a player for a position that he has only just filled.
Ive just added another £20 on top of my original £50 (kagawa to United and Hazard to Citeh) at 5/2 as a saver that he joins Chelsea as you can imagine Abramovich creaming his silk lined panties at the thought of having him play sexy football the Oligarch way.

Wrong again the Agent just calimed this was not about a bigger transfer fee or wages as there will be no more negotiations..
Also He is Belgian not French.. And he was instrumental in Lille winning the League last season 10/11..
So your saying hypothetically if we sign him we will not be able to play our new star player in his favoured position? Also time and time again SAF has bought players for positions we already have covered very well.. Also lets not forget Hazard goes into this Special Talent Category.. So like Rooney if united get an opportunity to sign him they will.. Irrespective of how many wingers we already process..

Rotating between the left and centre, he should play most and clearly be on Rooney undroppable level by year 2 should he settle well with one of the wingers being sold next summer maybe. First year, he's gonna have to settle with a bedding in process wherever he goes, but Chelsea do have Mata who is kind of similar and City Silva and Nasri. We have no one really like him, but more other wing options(4 if counting Park, Chelsea also have 4, but no way Kalou/Malouda both stay and thats not counting Ramires who played right a bit under RDM, and City 4 if you count Milner).
Let's all write EDEN across our knuckles and tweet the pictures to him. How could be resist us after that?
The official site does not claim its true. They are just reiterating what the papers are saying. That section never claims anything.
Not sure your argument stands up to scrutiny.
1. he thought he was going to manchester and then things changed - that Chelsea won the CL and suddenly have CL football next season which brings them into the reckoning. Simple.
2. I think City was already pretty much ruled out before Chelsea came in.
3. He's not lookiong for more money and Lille are awaiting him to make a decision first before negotiating with the chosen club. They're NOT doing what Udinese did last year with Sanchez - i.e. negotiating with every club tyring to get the price up when the player only wants to go to one club.
4. SAF has played 30 million for players of teams that have finished quite low if they were great players. Everton, Leeds, Tottenham are examples of that.
5. We have no idea where SAF wants to play him.

I don't think it's actually like that at all.
He's done 2 interviews, one after the game where he explained he hasn't decided yet and one with Canal+ where he explained further that is was between Manchester (United and City) and Chelsea and a few more details, from what I gather he promised them that interview because they have been supportive of him over his time at Lille and he returned a favour. So only two interviews despite the whole of European press trying to get a peice of him.
The only other thing he has said is that he won't be deciding until after the friendlys. Seems fair enough to me, concentrate on his national team while thinking things over. It's also an attempt to take the heat off the situation IMO, "you have to wait til then, I haven't decided and there will be nothing else to know until then".
I don't really see any of that as media whoring considering the attention he is getting and journalist after journalist trying to get hold of him and his agent.
I think what is making him seem like a media whore is the endless twisting and milking of what he has said, manipulation with what he hasn't said and endless, mindless speculation of what he is going to do. All of it out of his hands.

There's more to it financially than just seeing who's offering the best pay packet every week. I wonder what kind of figures players here are earning off the pitch in comparison to similar level Chelsea/City players.
