Eden Hazard | "I am signing for Chelsea"

getting a bit off topic here lads, despite Cnut being completely wrong.

We've lost out on players for years, pre- and post Roman's purchase of Chelsea.

Gazza, Lineker, Overmars, Collymore - to mention a few.

exception to the rule. Arsenal signed Ramsay whom we have been interested in. That doesn't mean that Arsenal are in a better position then United to sign players.

Henry, Le Tissier.

I don't know why everyone's getting so outraged at the thought that we've never been able to just sign whoever the feck we like?

Correct me if I am wrong but Collymore wasn't signed because he failed to meet SAF (due to a flu). The gaffer saw thought that Stan was unprofessional and ended up signing Coley instead.

Quite funny that people have mentioned the likes of Collymore and Kewell and yet there has been no mention of the one player SAF and the fans were truly annoyed about us not getting.

"Exception to the rule"

Whatever Cnut had said, you'd simply shrug and say "exception to the rule", I'm sure.

No, it doesn't mean Arsenal are a in a better position than United to sign players, but I'm pretty sure that at no point in this entire thread has anyone ever got anywhere near remotely making that assertion. You said:

devilish said:
Before Roman bought Chelsea, we had the exclusivity of all players who wanted to play/stay in the EPL

Cnut has, in the space of two posts, proved you entirely wrong. We have never had the exclusivity of all players who wanted to play or stay in the league. There have always been players that we wanted but didn't get, for whatever reason. Yes, when we were the big boys in the league we were the most likely to get a player, but that means nothing.

You can't just dismiss all evidence that points to the contrary of your ludicrous claim as simply "an exception to the rule".

Le Tiss never moved ffs

Henry, were we ever really in for him?

Yeh, exactly, Le Tissier never moved. The claim implies that if we wanted someone, we got them. Le Tissier was fecking brilliant. I am sure, in fact he's actually confirmed it, that we were after him because he was so good.

Did we ever get him?

Or is the argument now being changed to say that it's only players who were on the move that we had the automatic right of first refusal because we were so damn attractive?

Its obvious that there's exceptions to the rule. I mean if I say that if you jump from a cliff you'll end up falling down, you can't just say....but what if the cliff is in space, can't you? That would be ridiculous.

Anyway, lets stick to the subject.

Are you sure you're mentally well, devilish? I worry for you.

300 posts here and you're insulting the most respected poster on the Caf?

Be careful.

I'm surprised it took him that long to figure devilish out.

So any new muppet news on the Hazard front? I've taken a break this past weekend from the wonderful world of muppetry...

He maybe should've written "most", rather than "all", I took that as what he meant but some of you have taken it literally. Anyway, back to Hazard, the new Chelsea No. 10.

L'equipe saying he's in London is basically it, which implies he's in negotiations with Chelsea, or something.

I wonder do fans of other clubs devout so much time to potential/unrealistic transfer targets.

There has barely been any worthwhile news and still its keeps going.

Sharky Gaybrush, I am ashamed of you. I thought it was only really the Yanks and Ozzies that got so caught up with this shite.

Ok, so he's in London, ahead of a friendly with England...and they never heard of people travelling from Manchester to London...Ah well, that's that then.

or that he's in London which the first stop of his trip - he'll leave for Manchester this morning. There's no way of knowing that that isn't the plan. Reasonable doubt :p

ha ha, but this guy was good, it was made out that he may even have announced his new club on live TV... now that's sexy. :D

Seriously though, if you check out my first post here, I've always thought he'd go with the money, the recent past has shown us that. All the clubs can offer a chance of trophies, then it comes down to $$$

He has a game in London this week so of course he is bound to be there.

Do you only posts in the thread complaining about the fans, did the same in Ireland thread and many other threads in United main forums. Why can't give you a fecking rest?

Collymore wasn't signed because Forest refused to answer the phone when Ferguson called them. It was Clough wasn't it ? After 3 attemps he realized it wouldnt work and decided on Cole instead! As i remembered it from "managing my life"
