Well half the people on these boards say we are broke and have no ambition in the transfer market. City have a bloated squad that is already ego rammed, Chelsea are European Champions, probably about to rebuild the team around him, are based in one of the world's most highly regarded cities and will pay him a feckload of cash. It's not that stupid.
They have no manager though. It'd be hilarious if he joined Chelsea on the guarantee of playing time and the new manager doesn't like him.

I wonder what Roman said to him to convince him to go to Chelsea (if he does go there). No manager, no stability off the pitch and Mata already at the club playing where Hazard wants to play. If his decision was on football factors only (playing time, position etc) then surely Utd would be the best side?

Just seems likely with the way things have been reported that he was in London yeterday and with the reliable French Journos saying a day before he was off to Chelsea. Too much of a coincidence to me.

To be honest I am more confused instead of heart broken or pissed off, he said history and stability is important to him yet it looks like he is about to sign for Chelsea, a team with no manager currently and no real history in comparison to us. I guess money really does talk then despite what the player may claim.
To be a superstar you have to join us, real madrid or barcelona. Thats just the way it is. Chelsea and City are all about money, nothing else to it.

It's always been about playing time, that is what he has been saying for the last year or so. Chelsea is the obvious choice, us and City have excellent players already playing in his position.
People should chill until this is announced. Nobody has a clue yet so there's no point getting wound up thinking he's full on joining Chelsea.
