Eden Hazard | "I am signing for Chelsea"

So much for wanting to join a stable club with history

Amusing how everyone is saying him revealing his next club on twitter isn't the way we do business. Can anyone give me one example of a signing from Chelsea, City etc revealing their club on twitter. Nobody does business like that.

But he doesn't want to play wide. He wants to play as a number 10 and Chelsea already have Mata.

They also have Marin. Plus Torres and Sturrudge, in terms of attacking players that like to play through the middle. Our wingers all prefer to play as wingers. We've really only got Rooney and (arguably) Welbeck who look to play as number 10s.

Maybe he'll join either of the Spanish clubs in a year or two/three. Seems like the type. "What is Eden Hazard's next move" picture on his twitter again by then.

Thats probably right. Atleast if he join Chelsea now.

There's gonna be mass hysteria on here if he joins Chelsea, and some red faces if he joins us - you all seem to have given up.

I haven't to be fair. That BBC Lad said he's gonna sign on Monday, I'm clinging on that.

Also spare a thought for RedRichio if he joins Chelsea or Us, he was so bloody sure that he's gonna sign for City.

If he joins Chelsea then it's blatantly about the wages, so good look to him, a common thing lately.

If he joins us it's about his career and wanting to win and having less competition to play in his preferred position, and therefore he comes across as being all about the football, though he'll still be on 100k or whatever it is.

Fine lines

Given his interview last week, wonder how he chose Chelsea.

a) Playing position - Possibly but they have Masa.
b) Playing time - Again possible, but they have Marin, Ramires, Malouda and possible Hulk.
c) Stablilty - Certainly not
d) Manager believes in him - What manager?
e) Developmental - Who have Chelsea developed?

I still believe he will sign for us. But its more a feeling that its our turn to get the big player.

Girls, there is nothing concrete to suggest Chelsea yet.

Going by his conditions for picking a club I would say were are still in it. He might just as well have been in talks with Chelsea yesterday and decided against their project.

I'm not too sure about that part. He's more chance of displacing Mata than Rooney.

Can someone recap what has gone on today? Who said the agent and Hazard was in London?

Someone should write up a quote from hazard saying he's joining arsenal. Get a few tweets from people here repeating it and see how that effects the odds.

The fact that he'd decided where he was going, and then suddenly became uncertain when Chelsea snuck in the backdoor to the Champions League made it seem pretty damned likely that he was going to become a rentboy. Hopefully it was City that got gazumped rather than ourselves, for the sake of fecking up their transfer strategy.

Chelsea are reportedly giving him double the money we're offering. He would have to be a United fan at heart to go for that.

If this happens it just proves once more that whatever Mr. Gill says we cannot compete in the transfer market with City and Chelsea. They are offering crazy wages, the good majority of players will got after that rather than the history of the football club. It has nothing to do with being a mercenary either, the career of a footballer is a short one, you don't know when it might end. The smart thing to do is getting as much money as you can.
