How many times does it need to be explained. Odds are worked out on betting patterns, not on proof of transfers. More people bet on Chelsea and the odds change, probably mostly due to the Twitter rumours. In turn people see the odds change and consider it a sure thing, hence they bet more

I do think he's going to Chelsea, but not based on the betting odds.
I know nothing about betting so I might be barking up the wrong tree, but if he has told someone where he is going and that starts a chain of people placing big bets, then wouldn't the bookies shorten the odds?
