Europa League 2015/2016

Would be hilarious if City and Liverpool won the European tournaments in what's been called one of the wankest years in PL history for top clubs.

Would be fecking shit. I wouldn't mind Leicester banging all of Bayern, Barcelona and Madrid next season though.

The thought of City winning the CL and Liverpool winning EL makes me sick.

All the big players rested at the weekend, thanks to the unique way that nobody actually cares about winning the Bundesliga, and they still couldn't beat a team that are 8th in the Premier League.

Villarreal or Sevilla have to beat Lpool. Please

So who are the four in the semi's? Liverpool Seville and?

Never mind just seen. I think I'd take anyone at this point. They're all difficult ties.

The way Dortmund defended today...there are no words for it. Abysmal, shambolic, disgraceful, horrendous, they're all understatements. From minute 1 to the last one, literally every Liverpool attack in Dortmund's final third was threatening as hell. Dortmund's defence and midfield were all over the place like I've never seen before. They reached a low surely Villarreal/Sevilla won't reach?

Yeah, don't have a huge preference either.

Shakhktar then Villarreal then Sevilla but my reaction won't be hugely different no matter who we get.

Honestly loved that. One of the best football games I've ever seen, in a horribly grimy pub in Walthamstow. Everyone was grinning at the end, superb.

Have to re-post this :

Borussia Dortmund’s updated form: WWWWWWDWWWWWWWDWWWWWDDL

L is for Liverpool.

I think Sevilla are the only one of the three capable of stopping you now. They live for this competition. Emery is Godly.

Villarreal are one of my favourite clubs, but you should have enough grit and pace to scrape past them. They will outplay you but it's possible to take them on the break.

Villarreal are excellent defensively, they have the second best defence in La Liga.

And they probably have enough firepower to trouble Liverpool's brittle defence.

But it's increasingly looking like it's their year. I'm getting the same ominous feeling I did after Ashley Cole's goalline clearance against Napoli. :nervous:

Sevilla can get pretty reckless at times. Villarreal are more organized and have a bit of Atletico about them.

As much as I hate Liverpool. both Barcelona and Dortmund getting dumped out in the same week is a god send.

United threads on the front page for a change and not "MSN made me mess my bed sheets" and "Why the premier league is crap by the non-envious Bundesliga boys".

Dortmund

Awesome game though, happy for Klopp.
