Everton v Manchester United

We looked quite impotent with Rooney off form.

We have plenty of players who do their job efficiently (Park, Fletcher, Carrick etc), but only one real match winner.

When he is off form and he's the one we are constantly giving the ball to and he keeps losing it - hard for others to do something. Lost the ball for the 3rd goal as well.

We certainly have match winners in the team. Just too many people underperformed today.

they outmuscled us in midfield and Rooney was affected by his return there. If Phil Neville had not intercepted that chance, we would have won.

Still its only 4 behind Chelsea assuming they win today, and they don't look invincible.

All credit to Moyes and Everton. They played this well.

still lots of football to be played.

Spot on....Rooney's first touch today was as bad as I have seen and it seems if he don't fire we don't at the minute, but he weren't to blame..Just a bad day...Can't do nowt about it today...Just have to win the rest of our games

I will eat a boat if that happens.

Not really sure who those are at the moment. Who else can take charge and put the ball in the net?

no one is going to win all their matches.

This was always going to be a difficult match and Everton are on form.

But when you look at Arsenal and Chelsea, they don't look like running away with it.

I still think we will win the title, but we always do it the hard way don't we. :)

Maybe but she's clearing her throat. We've just given Chelsea and significantly arse a huge boost. Chelsea have a tough run in and ours is ok but arse could come through now.

Sure there are rings in the water, I see them too. But that can just as easily be a big feck off dinosaur. :smirk: Did we go too far with the metaphor?

Spot on.

Every team will drop points. Its just the way the league is this season.

Why not? Out of these games only City one is losable I think as I don't think we will lose at home again this year.

I dunno but I didn't expect those dippers to hammer us 4-1 at home last season, I still feel sick of that. we have a real fight on our hand to try and retain our title.

To be fair OG came close from Rooneys free kick, we cant expect him to perform every match, the poor thing needs a rest like the rest of us.

Take off your red-tinted glasses mate. He was a feckin let down today. Got only one clear chance if I recall correctly. Needs to step up big time again.

Went today and sat in the Everton end. Wasn't as intimidating as expected but didn't know what to do with myself when the goals were flying in.
We played shit today and deserved to lose for that performance. Rooney could have made the difference if he'd played well but he didn't look sharp and gave the ball away too often.

Slightly off topic, when we came out the ground we found the United fans had merged with the Everton fans (thought they were meant to be held in the ground??) and the whole thing was so was quiet and calm as everyone exited the area it was surreal. I'm used to 75,000 tanking out the ground as fast as possible in one big rushy mess.

Any advice on where to go before?

Sorry never got back to you mate. Went the Queens Arms which is a complete and utter shithole. The whole surrounding area is. I like the ground though a proper traditional one.

Where you go?

I'll have the Blackburn ticket? Haha.

Apart from the result it was a good day. Like I said though utter shithole it really is bad near the ground.

Huge bottle of Stella was £2.60 in the Queens Arms.
