i know that what it says :smirk:

On side note Chelski vs Arse the same time

Man utd gonna win this match easily imo, 2-0.

big game. Chelsea could do us a big favour but we have to take Everton seriously. We've got a good record against them but they look in good form. Keep Cahill quiet and we should have enough.

Everton will be keeping it very tight. They can afford not to win this game as they are 3 points clear of Pool and 2 points ahead of Bolton with a game in hand.

1st goal will be crucial. If we score first....we could go on to win comfortably. If they score first, then they will certainly close up shop and try to frustrate us.

My man to watch is RVN. If he's sharp enough...we'll win it. Otherwise, it'll be another titanic struggle to break another resolute defence down.

the same team and formation again, only fletch to replace fortune

Agree, fletch HAS to replace fortune...although surely giggs will come back into the side?

Maybe SAF will rest either rooney, scholes or ronaldo and give giggs a run out. Either way we have our confidence back and we should steer past this lot easily...hopefully!

I think we should definitely go unchanged, unless Fletcher really is fit enough for 90 mins, in which case he could come in for Quinton. Otherwise, let's try and let the team bed down and string some wins together.

We don't need to worry about Pool. The mighty Bolton have them covered :)

Play the youth team and let Everton gain 3 much needed points in order to keep ahead of Liverpool :)

That would be fun :D

Rooney reveals Everton wish

WAYNE Rooney has revealed he jokingly asked Sir Alex Ferguson to appoint him skipper for his first visit back to Everton.

The Manchester United striker is due back at Goodison Park again on Wednesday, two months after playing a starring role in the Red Devils' 2-0 FA Cup fifth round win.

With passions still high following his £27million move to Old Trafford from the Toffeemen last August, there had been speculation Rooney would sidestep the first opportunity of a return to Merseyside.

Instead, the 19-year-old ran a gauntlet of hate when he got off the team bus, suffered a barrage of abuse from an unruly Everton sponsor immediately after the warm-up, then had a mobile phone thrown at him as the atmosphere turned ugly.

To his credit, Rooney did not react to the intimidation, and insisted he never once considered not playing in the game.

"There was no way I wanted to miss that game," he told the official Manchester United magazine. "To go back to Goodison was special for me.

"I actually went up to the manager and said `You should make me captain'. I wanted to be captain but I am not sure Roy (Keane) would have been too happy about that.

"I had to go sometime but to go in the FA Cup and with so many Manchester United fans there as well, it was great.

"The fans were brilliant and got behind me, so it was nice to come away with a win."

Silly question I know... What if we let em' win this game? Nah!!!! We'll feck em' all the way.

5-0 I'd say. Ruuuuuuuuuuuud (Hat trick), Rooney (Hat trick-1), RRRrrr!

supporting united on this one, come on you red devils!! ;)

i like your lineup epic, only ive never been a fan of brown, put in sylvestre over him. micky does well when he's partnering rio, and doesnt seem as prone to wild lapses in concentration.

Everton boss David Moyes believes his side can pick up valuable points against Manchester United as they bid for the fourth Champions League spot.

Moyes said: "The games are running out and now we walk into one with United, but we are looking forward to it.

"It's terrific matches like this that you want to be involved in with something important resting on it.

"To beat United we have to be at our very best, but teams have beaten them. We have to use that as our incentive."

I have to admit, I wouldn't be too upset if the Blues turned us over, and if i knew it was a guarantee to keep the Anfield scum out of Europe, I might even break a smile.
The only thing that is stopping me wanting an Everton win, is that the only decent thing to ever come out of Anfield was when they beat Blackburn on the final day of the season, when we failed to beat West Ham, it was a suprisingly good effort from the scum, and probably the only thing I can ever applaud from them.

Come on Utd, we're all behind you on this one. :)

Don't forget the spirit of 1995 when we beat Blackburn for you on the last day. :smirk:

Yep...and Andy Cole missing a glorious chance late at West Ham, amongst many other misses. United should have won 5 titles in a row. Fluke season 94-95 was. And look...ten years later another club has effectively bought a championship. ;)

That loss at West Ham was voted the #1 worst loss of alltime on www.manutdzone.com/greatgames/

#1
FA Carling Premiership
14th May 1995 Upton Park
West Ham United 1 Manchester United 1
Michael Hughes McClair

Imagine if Godzilla,King Kong and the Rancor from Return of the Jedi got together and held a "Who can fart the most Competition" in your back garden. The combined smell from such an event would not match the stench of West Ham vs Manchester United on the last day of the season 1995. United needed a win to take the title over Blackburn who were playing Liverpool at Anfield. With Rovers drawing (eventually losing 2-1) United would have won the title had they found a winner after McClair's equaliser, but West Ham defended like their lives depended on it, as United missed chance after chance. "An Obscene amount of effort" Fergie called West Ham's performance. Still, as Kenny Dalglish paraded the Premiership trophy around Anfield for Blackburn, United fans can take pleasure from the fact that just 4 years later we would relegate sad, rubbish Rovers back to to the (shitehole) First Division they came from.

Does anyone know of any live streams for this game? I know it's sky but I don't have it.
Try the 'Coolstream' software and a good tip is to get on early. Mind you, I hope I'm not teaching granny to suck eggs :)

Thus the smirk.

But I didn't know that was voted your number worst defeat (even though it wasn't a defeat). I revelled in the fact you couldn't even blame us for your shortcoming that season.

Still doesn't register with our number one worst defeat at Arsenal in 1989 or Wimbledon FA Cup final in 1988, both denying us a certain double. We were by far a double winning team both seasons and if we were in Europe we would have won the European Cup a few times and all - putting AC Milan in their place, i.e. losing finalists (I know, I know, we've only got ourselves to blame!).

You have to win to maintain some prestige. Remember, your tete a tetes with Arsenal were only this season and to finish below them has to be an insult. If you don't play for chest thumping pride now, then when?
