Betfair gives you the best odds, it's really no contest. You get a 25quid bonus when you sign up, you can bet on practically anything (including bookings) and you can bet against something happening (ie laying) which the other sites won't let you do. If you could put my refer code (GRYACT6QU) in if you sign up it would make me less miserable about losing £50 on Barcelona. :)

Evra, quit hogging all the newbies for free bets. If anyone is thinking about signing up to Betfair, I would be very grateful if you enter (XA7MCPMMD) when signing up. :wenger:

I'm just trying to steer this good chap in the right direction, Betfair is the best betting website on the net. Now if I should get recompensed for that information then everybody wins.

To be honest I'm not a huge fan of Betfair as it always takes a commission off your winnings. I prefer bet365 or, more recently, victor chandler.

Betfair's odds are almost always better so it levels out. Plus I often like to lay against the favourite horse so Betfair is the only site I use now. I used to use Paddy and I like their website but the odds are far less generous than Betfair.

You're probably right about it leveling out tbh. But most of the times you will get another site with better odds. I always use oddschecker to find out the best odds as I have accounts with most of the betting sites going. You see, I don't really use the Lay system. So that system doesn't have any advantage to me.

Although I did use Betfair last night. They had 1.5 for Porto to win last night. Porto's record so far this season is 20-2-0. Stuck 100 quid on Porto got back 47.50 but Jesus, was I bricking it towards the end!

You said there were generous odds on United, Bayern, Chelsea and Madrid tonight. Where you getting them from mate?

Betfred.

United at 1.50, Bayern 1.80 (don't trust that one actually), Chelsea 1.42, Madrid 1.36.

Ten quid brings back 50-ish i think off memory.

Oh, that's for them all to win tonight, not to progress. It's less than evens for them all to progress and I feel there might be an upset for Bayern or us tonight :nervous:

I've not bet on it either.

Don't trust that Bayern - Inter game myself.

I got 2.10 which is now looking rather terrible odds with the recent gossip of Vidic possibly missing the game! Recently I've realised that the bookies always win and after the win last night I'm in the green and kind of want to keep it that way so I'm going for low stakes from now on, on the rare occasion I do bet.

Can't argue with that.

Agree with the bookies always win thing, one thing I have noticed the last couple of weeks is the specials that PP does, you know the one that flashes up on the banner, I don't think I have ever seen them win.

I bet they make a fortune from it

Things like that force me to put the bet on, because then i'm thinking if it doesn't come in and ive had the chance to put it on i'll be gutted.

I've just put a £3 accy on, and an odd one at that....don't think i've got much chance but the return is around £1.1k

United to lead 1-0 at HT 2-0 FT
Inter > Bayern
Over 2.5 goals in Rochdale v Notts County
Over 2.5 goals in Burnley v Coventry
Over 2.5 goals in Carlisle v Plymouth

Not looking good atm, Inter loosing, one goal in Burnley, 1 in Carlisle and none with Notts County....got the United half time right though

No chance :(

My missus, who knows nothing about football and doesn't care for it at all, said 2-1 united when I asked her prediction for tonight. She said put £4 on it. I put £1 on 3-1 instead. Bugger!

Did win £10 on Hernandez to score, united to win which leaves me £40 up this week. Not all bad.

The specials are always multiples or shite like correct score + first goalscorer. Mug bets at odds far below the true ones. What do bookmakers hate? Singles.

Galatasaray v Fenerbache kicks off at seven tonight (11th v 1st in the league). They're great games to watch whether you bet on them or not but Fenerbache are at a too good to resist 6/4. They've won their last five games and are scoring for fun whereas Gala haven't won for six games! Anyway that's my football tip for the day.

1-0 to Gala. I knew I shouldn't have opened this fecking thread.

I should have known that form goes out of the window in derbies, the goal was similar to the one we conceded against Liverpool where Gary Neville should have just punted it out or let it go for a corner but the striker got around him. Ridiculous goal to concede, still Fenerbache are a much better side than Gala so I haven't kissed my twenty goodbye yet.
