Galatasaray S.K. vs. Manchester United

Good performance and for a pleasent change a decent game to watch. The ref however did his best to ruin it.

If Braga beat them and we play out a draw with Cluj...
Make it happen.

It was a great game. We actually looked good value for a draw until we brought on Young and Macheda, both of whom were - predictably - utter shite.

Cleverley was head and shoulders above the rest tonight. Anytime we bypassed him or he wasn't involved in our passing it broke down fast.

How much time are you going to give him jake? He has moments of inspiration but he's not a young 'un now!

He's in his what, sixth season at united? His fitness is a genuine concern and he's not close to being a nailed on starter through the middle!

I don't offer criticism often but this galatasaray have been shite and our jack of prowess through the middle has been shocking! We made so few real chances its pitiful.

You sir are a bellend. A side who presses for 90 minutes relentlessly have something about them. We made some very good chances but couldn't knock any in. Relax mate.

Decent performance, feel sorry for Rafael having to play tonight especially with the diamond. Shit subs killed our momentum in the 2nd Half.

A decent team performance?! Anderson was wank! Our play in general was half arsed! There was nothing riding on the result and my god did it show in the unclinical nature of our game

Wind your neck in with the bell end comments. That performance on the whole was half arsed! Powell was decent, I can't remember the keeper having to make clear saves with the exception of smothering a few chances where we failed to get the shot off.

We pressed but galatasaray were shit, and we should have been able to come away with at least a draw. That's my point.

Thought Cleverley, Anderson, Jones and Powell were good tonight! Some better than others and Anderson should never have been taken off!

Very good result in the grand scheme of things and a very, very good performance! Think we'd have won IF we'd have scored first!

The starting line up today would more than capable to hold their own against Spurs at home and Norwich away.

What are you talking about? The fact you're focusing on the result shows your opinion isn't really devoted towards our actual performance.

As a team, I think we played a decent tempo. Kept possession. Looked threatening throughout. Maybe you need to consider the youngsters we put out there. It's in Galatasaray. A hostile atmosphere and they handled it pretty well.

I would understand your grief if more of the senior players were out there but that wasn't the case. Lineup with average age of 24 going into a match where the opposition continued to harass us. Did you see how they were fouling our players? Seriously. Calm down and commend our youth for a change.

We've all said it, losing while gaining experience is invaluable. Amazed at the fitness of players like Cleverly and Hernandez (who's late run showed such focus in spite of clear fatigue).

The strategy of putting fresh legs on late in a game will never apply to Kiko. The boy is three steps slower in pace against guys running around for 80+ mins. Clearly he was eager to prove and wasn't in the right mindset to come into a game chasing the equalizer.

Powell has a lot to learn in terms of awareness and positioning but has so much talent at his disposal. Would have liked to get a greater look at King as well.

I honestly don't think the ref bottled this one, if anything he let the game play on which led to a very wide open/end-to-end match.

From what I saw of the ref I thought he was a little poor but he was fair in his poorness so I didn't really have any complaints.

Jones and Carrick at CB against Spurs?

Ok mate

Well, anyone who watched the Spurs game knows it was lost in midfield where Dembele and Sandro were excellent, we had a static midfield and not because of our CB pairing. Your CB pairing counts for nothing if left as exposed as Rio and Evans did against Spurs.

They had 3 shots on target and scored 3 goals.
We had 75% position and weren't able to make it count.
