"People who are getting really angry about this season are weird."Not even close.
“He had green hands”
“Let’s see if anyone painted any houses green”
“That’s him!”
Piss off.

Which is a real shame because they did build a beautiful plot over several years, if they brought it home better, it would have been among the best ever TV shows for me.
The acting yeah, the story yeah but the conclusion ruined it all for me. I cannot put it up thereThe first season is one of the best shows ever made.

Eh, Pogue, you made the comparison, not me.They are!
Going off on a tangent here but I don't you think you can compare being irritated about a television series which was entirely focussed on detective work (the clue is in the title) that made such a laughable bollox of solving the mystery at the heart of the show with people getting wound up because characters they didn't want to die ended up getting killed, or the "wrong" character killed another character, or things happened too quickly, or whatever else the feck has wound people up about this season of GoT.
Name one pair of dragon tits that we saw in the show? Exactly, point to Pidgy.I think it’s quite astute really. The multi faceted intrigue that you would expect to accompany a true “greatest ever tv show” to have was abandoned in favour of throwbacks and caricature characters. “Tits and dragons” effectively, when it used to be so much more
They need to go anime, it would be much better and less of a headache budget wiseWhat about the theory that Drogon has carried her off to take her to the other red woman, and she will return as an undead dragon queen?
In a few years (when everyone has gotten over this shit), in the form of a movie trilogy..
Yes, stick men, even cheaperThey need to go anime, it would be much better and less of a headache budget wise
It's hard to enjoy the ending of something like GOT. I've liked the destruction of KL, how the red witch lit up the Dothraki swords, how Drogon was flying during the destruction of Euron's fleet.
From a visual POV, those things were very nice but the story and dialogues ? Not so much
There are also many suggestions that are much better than what the paid writers came up with.
That's not true. Avengers got decent reviews and most people dismissed the negatives. It was broadly a positive vibe. You cant produce sub standard work and not expect people who have invested hours watching it not to whine. Especially some who are emotionally invested.
Plus, this one was particularly absurd. Like DC comic movie absurd. It will get called out on it in an OTT manner because of the standards set. Plot holes need to be earned not be part of the shows repertoire
Drogon ate it since he’d toasted everything else OR one of those many Dothraki took it. You know those ones who were hiding and didn’t get completely wiped out by the NKWhat was Arya riding off on a horse all about last week? did she literally just take it around the corner?

I prefer to think he buried her then went back and burnt Kings landing fully to the ground this time including Bran and his council.
After that he went to Jon who he now protects
They'll do anything to justify in their minds this season.Hang on, people are seriously comparing the ending to a fantasy TV show, to true detective? now I've seen it all.
Imagine it was all WesterosWorld
They’re all robots and animatronics
Venting and critiquing is part of modern society, we just have to accept it. It concerns movies, music and sports.I agree with regards to the dialogue and story at times. Even some of the fckin characters were shite. But, i guarantee you see it more with more platforms available. Venting and critiquing happens more than actually enjoying (and its not just GoT).
Im not even saying its a bad thing, but its just the way it is.
But Avengers is another which gets critiqued (Endgame). Its very every single point is scrutinised to see if it holds up.
I had so much enjoyment from ep3 of this last series, but others didnt because they were assessing how the guards were lined up and battle plans and all. Thats fine, we are who we are.
I guess its the nature of the beast.

You're saying people can't get irritated that a show they've spent eight years watching ended in a really shite way, but it's ok for you to get irritated at a limited series ending in a shite way? How strange.
Again, avengers did not face the same backlash as GoT did. Because GoT this season was genuinely terrible as it was in S7. I loved Ep3. I've seen it twice already and will be one of my favourite episodes of the show - but ep5 and ep6 cant be defended. Its needs to be criticized the same way Uniteds performance against Cardiff. Justly and harshly.I agree with regards to the dialogue and story at times. Even some of the fckin characters were shite. But, i guarantee you see it more with more platforms available. I think what also makes people more angry at GoT is that the writers had the option of making more seasons but instead chose to end it in the rushed manner that they did.
(at least I think this is the case?)
This is the number 1 reason for the rushed ending yes. In hindsight HBO should have fecked them off, replaced them with a team of writers and done another 2 seasons.

You create an intricate tapestry of a storyline and have people obsess over foreboding and then complain about people nitpicking when you feck it up? Naah, you live by the sword and you die by it.

They probably put that in there to see if anyone would over analyse it, to gage the expectations of fans and to see if they would look for massive convoluted meanings out of little things. And then when everyone started talking about how it represented death because it's a pale horse they probably thought "yeah, these people are nuts".What was Arya riding off on a horse all about last week? did she literally just take it around the corner?
so they could run along and make their big dollah Star Wars trilogy.Wait wot? The show runners decided they WANTED it to end quickly as opposed to taking some more time to draw it to a close? I thought it would be something like budget reasons or what not. That's really dumb then. I sort of accepted the rushed ending as a time constraint, but if it's a voluntary decision it doesn't really make sense.
Why did they want to rush it?
Not even hindsight, I remember at the time people saying why cut it down to 13 when theres so much left to do. But then after s7, everybody thought, ok they rushed that so s8 wouldnt be rushed. But then yeah, there was still rush towards the finish line.
The person who said it felt rushed at times but also dragged at times, during same episodes, is correct. As I said, overall I had so much fun. It could have been better though (and if the two didnt want to keep it going, they should have given somebody else the chance whilst they add themselves as consultant and then work on other projects).
All ifs and buts now.

Why did they want to rush it?
Because they badly want to get started on the KOTOR trilogy, make two films from it and bail on the last one because they've found another project like an ADHD kid in a room full of toys.Wait wot? Meh.so they could run along and make their big dollah Star Wars trilogy.
