You are living in a fantasy land if you think any remaster should go for sale for £25 for 3 games.

3 games which the framework and everything was already there, already written, sounds already recorded, dialogue recorded.

They've copied and pasted some new textures and that's about it.

Not to mention top tier new games can take longer to complete than the 3 games combined

I've got an old toaster from 2000 I've painted recently, want to buy it for £40?

Once he's bought my bridge!

Good value

£55 isn't really a lot of money to me so yeah it is good value for money, especially as GTA San Andreas is my favourite game of all time.

Something is good value, to a person willing to pay a price and be happy with that price.

It is other way around for me, I played through RDR2 3, 4 times now, and itching to go again, GTA5 I went through story once which I had to force myself to finish even, and never came back to the game.

Btw.

Looks like they remade those blinds to be fair

That's true but at the same time you can't be mad at those saying it's a half assed cash grab either. There's always an extreme on both sides though. The Rockstar fanatic that believes them to do no wrong while calling out other developers left right and center and then the overly critical and totally unrealistic bunch that thought these remasters would have revamped physics and mechanics.

I’ll pick this up when Rockstar patch the shit out of this and it’s on sale. In no rush to play 3 games that I haven’t touched in 15 years.

Not getting it, I keep seeing clips that annoy me. The latest being the rain in GTA:SA...

What kinda rain is pure white?

How have they charged premium money? £55 for GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas is good value.

You pay more than that for one game these days and you are getting three remasters for that price.

They're not remasters. They're worse quality than the originals by some distance

For 3 games that were dirt cheap on console and dirt cheap on PC.

Clearly the environments aren't. Are you seriously telling me the comparison picture just above this post is worse than the originals? Come on, man.

Anyone got this on PC? The Rockstar Games Launcher is still down

Shambolic!

Basically folk are paying £40 for playing virtually the same game again two decades later?

Well at least Rockstar will be shamed into fixing this.

This is my new favourite thread since the PES one’s images and footage were initially released.

Yeah, and how I am not surprised that some people are defending it

It's good value for money for you, especially if you don't know how to download 15 year old games for free that are basically the same as those you pay 55 pounds, so that's a fair point.

A lot of the reviews seem to point towards this being a very half-baked effort on Rockstar's part.

Also, do we really need to relive being told that all we had to do was follow the damn train?

What a shitshow.
The only way this can be fixed is by releasing GTA 6 asap

Interesting. I found RDR2 such a slog that i didn't even think of replaying it for years. Tried it again recently and got to the start of chapter 2 and thought this is shite and deleted it

I've heard some awful things about this. I was definitely going to get it, but not any more. It would have to see some heavy patching. Seems like a massive cash grab, and not even a good one like the C&C Remaster (which was brilliant). The developers also apparently have a really poor track record.

Rockstar are just having a laugh with the market now. Can't take them seriously with this horse shit.

How a company worth billions and with such a legendary reputation can just allow for a product to be pushed out with such minimal to no testing is just bonkers to me. Especially with the amount of emotional attachment/nostalgia their customers have for these three games. It's downright cold and sums up the industry these days. I've lost a lot of respect for these guys.

Yeah agreed. If you go on any vice city YouTube video, all you’ll see in the comments is people gushing how they’d pay a daft amount of money for the same fecking game with PS4 graphics. That’s it, that’s all they had to do. Should’ve been the easiest money they’ve ever earned but they’ve somehow managed to make it go tits up.

Quick question; is it Rockstar that are to blame for this or Take Two? Seems strange not to blame the big mega corp but think the company that poured all their resources into RDR2 are at fault.

Best case scenario; Rockstar North asked Take Two if they could have all hands on deck for GTA6, to make this super massive open world game, and T2 had two requirements. The first is, obviously, online so they can make shitloads of cash, and the other was a cheap and nasty cash grab preying on nostalgia like everyone else is doing. Rockstar said yes because, at the end of the day, their roots come from a city filled with junkies and people who can't say "pie" properly, so they probably didn't expect it to be this bad.
