Guangzhou Pharmaceutical v Manchester United

Finally, the second half is over. That ends the Asia Tour 2007. Congrats United, and thanks for playing somewhat at your best.

Are we going somewhere else next year? Canada maybe....a game against Toronto FC.....or even better, play the Montreal Impact or Vancouver Whitecaps...ya..that'd be good.....better than a drug company.

I'm pretty sure a recent article from Gill said we were going to Africa again.

I wonder why they have avoided North America since that last disaster a few years back. I'd think the Glazers would want them to improve marketing in the USA. Who knows, perhaps they'd even have a football vs. football match where we play Tampa Bay...I could use the muppet smilie right now.

They don't believe the Americans will ever give a shit about football. No one cares about Canada, too much open space, not enough consumers.

The Under 20 World Cup got the record attendance, we beat Mexico's record (I think from the 80's, not sure). So yes, people care about soccer in Canada.

Sure you do, but you just need the same number of people in a much smaller place, entirely populated by shops full of United merchandise. Big open spaces are shit for business.

Singapore>Yukon

 I can't argue with that.

the tour before the last one in the US was great. saw them beat Juve easily in a packed Giants Stadium and then beat Barca at another packed Lincoln Field in Philly.
I even have one of the 6 foot Man Utd banners that was hanging in the stadium concourse. A buddy of mine asked me did I also want a Barca one. no thanks!
nice bit of trivia for Americans: what was the 1st ever game played at the new Philadephia Eagles stadium? see above.

they fcuked up big time on the last one though by bringing the reserves over. if they bring their 1st teamers then they'll play to packed stadiums again.
