International Friendlies May/June

The commentator's curse:

"England haven't conceded from open play I'm over 11 hours of football"

60 seconds later, Nigeria score.

Our defence will be our downfall. Stones and Cahill is asking for trouble.

Kinda happy for the goal. We were coasting, so now it'll be interesting to see how we compose ourselves and deal with the pressure

The professional pundits keep telling me stones is the reincarnation of Bobby Moore, but I just don't see it.

Soon as they pressure us we go to pieces

Pickford is a bit of a prat. Everton fan I know doesn't rate him at all.

Sterling single handedly ruining the good will football fans have shown towards him past week. Yes I know its unrelated to the treatment in the media, but that won't bother a lot of people

Oh, come on, Raheem - at least make it somewhat plausible.

 Why would you dive in a friendly? Honestly the kid does himself no favours with that.

Rose and Delph are on the bench but I think Delph is seen more as a midfielder for England.

Our weakest area at the moment but maybe next year Sessegnon could play as a wingback.
Yeah Delph bit of a weird selection. Had a good season doing a very specific job which is I would imagine vastly different from what Southgate wants in his WBs.
Guess it probably came down to Young vs Bertrand and Shaw(really far outside chance). Is there any other semi decent English LB’s/LWBs I’ve forgotten about?

Also, while I think sterling is currently a better player than rashford when played in his best position, in that second striker role, Rashford would be more effective than sterling.
