He is in general a lot better and more consistent when playing for Croatia I'm pretty sure. Though he still wouldve improved us, but there are much better winger signings.
 
Lovely pass from I think Casemiro for all the OMG Brazil is anti football with their 3 DMs brigade.

Wingers who cut in, yes. Not many old school wingers like him, though. Someone who hugs the touchline and gets crosses in.

True, he wouldve been a good buy for £35 million or however much was quoted until Inter decided to be ridiculous. We definitely need a good crosser of the ball.
 
That all-defensive Brazil midfield will probably work against top sides to play counter, but against Switzerland and Serbia it will be awful to watch.
 
I can't see much mistakes in this Brazil side, you can't even talk about defense while they're having Fernandinho, Casemiro and Paulinho at the same time, and can remove one of them to throw in Coutinho if they want to attack. Should be the biggest contender for the title.

Them and Spain are top 2 imo. France and Germany tier below them I think.

Would assume Neymar will be fit enough to start so he can also create stuff from half chances.

I like Brazil chances, can always score goals out of nothing and are pretty solid at the back although sloppy in first half.

Wonder who they'd most like to avoid in knock out stages. Obviously Germany after last time but historically they've always struggled against France.

Would be fine against Argentina and Belgium I reckon.

Didn't get more than a few touches of the ball, but his movement was decent. For Brazil's second goal, he reacted quickly to go past the last defender and would have had a tap in if Firmino had gone for a low cross across goal instead of dinking it over the keeper.

Their next friendly is against Austria, I believe, and hopefully Fred will have signed by then, and will get at least 45 minutes.

I'm Brazilian and i can't tell you we dont want to play against Argentina before a possible final. They are not great as a team but they can score the first goal against everyone and it could be a problem.

Also Germany would be favorite against Brazil. France always beat us, even when we are superior, for some reason.

Probably. But in fact we only need to win 1-0 all games, so it could very well work with a defensive midfield and Neymar/Coutinho/Gabriel or Firmino free to attack. Also i think Danilo will be more as a third CB and Marcelo will be "winger".

I don’t mind the midfield depending on opponent. Having Renato Augusto or Fred in there much better. IMO, they all do the same thing. This is where Tite should of brought an Arthur type player to give us more variety in midfield.

Commebol results means nothing, all the teams there are way below the big europeans ones.

I just prefer to not be carried away by what the press out here is saying, they are trying to create an environmment like 2006.

Potentially think Tite is your best/most modern manager since 1998 in how he plays.
 
Aspas and Costa in the attack and Koke instead Busquets.Looking forward to seeing Odriozola and Aspas from the beginning

We had Argentina number for a decade or more now. France and Mexico have giving us trouble in tournaments. I wouldn’t want to face Germany as early as the 2nd round.

Yes, but Argentina can score against everyone(in theory). They dont need work well as a team to progress in the wc. Not saying they can win it, but they are inderrated here imo.

The line-up? Difficult question.It depends on whether Carvajal is fine but I would say that ,De Gea,Odriozola, Ramos, Piqué, Alba,Silva, Busquets and Iniesta seem untouchable. Actually any of the others (Costa, Thiago, Saúl, Asensio, Iscoetc) may be valid depending on the match

It would be terrible if the likes of Lichtsteiner or Xhaka were a bit too agressive and caused some injuries

Yeah I meant the starting eleven. The untouchables look very strong on paper.
