Internationals June (Euro Qualifiers + Nations League Finals)

Can see Benfica get little love from their rivals here

 Sporting and Porto fans are really pained at the fact that Benfica won the league.

Felix has been uninvolved so far. Don't think he's even had up to 10 touches.

Bruno is playing well actually. Ronaldo is barely pressing and Neves and William don’t get out of second gear so it’s Bruno and Bernardo that are doing a lot of important work and then allowing us to counter.

That defense scares the shit out of me btw. Has to be our worst CB partnership in over 20 years and the fullbacks aren’t much help. Couple that with a slow midfield and we’ve got problems.

He isn't playing out wide though :confused::confused:
He's playing on the right side of a flat 3 midfield. Has to start deep and has very little passing options besides the overlapping Semedo who is often late and players in the box. Tactically very tough for a player that shines in the middle with the goal in sight.

Bruno was playing a right-central, mostly deep position. I believe people saying he's playing out of position are saying he should be deployed as a number 10.

Don't think there's much more to it.

Neves and William just don't work together, way too immobile... Full backs are having a mare here, cb's are not too bad in my opinion. Felix seems so lightweight it's kinda funny :D

Christ, why is Sanc...Félix still playing?

Pepe is the best CB in portuguese NT history.

It's a flat 4-3-3 when you're not in possession and he doesn't seem to have to cover too much ground running back. When you have the ball he pushes up to the same line as bernardo-cris-felix with freedom to roam and swap positions, though he's mostly kept to that center-right channel. It's basically how players of his ilk tend to play nowadays

So dumb, just let the ref in the stands decide rather than have the match ref have to go all the way over.

Should be a pen to the Swiss.

Eeeeeh. Pen for swiss but i dislike this kind of penalties. Entirely accidental contact

This would be controversial. Why hadn't the VAR told him about it before the ball went the whole length of the pitch.

Bad decision. Anti VAR brigade will come out with Brexit-esque logic on this no doubt.

Ridiculous. After the Swiss pen will they VAR the Portugal one? What a dogs dinner.
