Seen he's played a fair bit of CB lately. I know he used to be a CB in the u14s. Where do we reckon he ends up?
Anyone watching the youth/reserve level could describe how he play please?
His name appearing more and more with the travelling squad, must have been performing so promisingly well this season at that level.

He reminds me a bit of Frenkie de Jong and Jack Wilshere, good technique, dribble through the middle and calm with the ball.
I think you're right. He finds ways around it, but it's something he doesn't have on a consistent basis. Like I've seen him tap the ball past an incoming defender that's at full speed, which counts as dribbling, but it's not something you can rely on.Perhaps I need to watch him more but that’s the one flaw I’ve noticed, which is that he doesn’t have that dribbling ability/press-resistance. Same issue I have with Ruben Neves. I think it’s a massive string for a top sitting midfielder to have to his bow. Busquets, for example, has that shuffle, swivel etc.
We need to be patient - not every player is of the Rashford (pro)Files
Here’s clearly a bit of a Maverick, but I’m sure Ole has his name written down in his Notebook.
Cheers! I was kind of proud of the Rashford FilesTerrible.
Better but still seems to have gone over everyone's head.
That's the Jimmy bit. If he's gonna call himself James he won't get anywhere.Jimmy Garner. That name has legend written all over it. Just oozes class, like Norman Whiteside, Duncan Edwards, Bobby Charlton and Nobby Styles.
All the other players call him Jimmy so I assume he must go by Jimmy. That's the Jimmy bit. If he's gonna call himself James he won't get anywhere.
How good is he? Any hope for him ever being good enough for our first team? Never seen him play.He reminds me a bit of Frenkie de Jong and Jack Wilshere, good technique, dribble through the middle and calm with the ball.
He’s 17. Not sure he’s ready for starts yet.Maybe he will start against Southampton? Fred got his chance, now Garner please
He might get some minutes but he's only 17, I don't think we'd start him in a PL match, as the season winds down we'll see a bit more of him.Maybe he will start against Southampton? Fred got his chance, now Garner please
You forgot sideways passing merchantNeeds to bulk up. Lack pace and power. Weak foot is suspicious. Will get found out eventually. Not enough for where we aspire to be, we settle for mediocrity. Championship quality. Shit haircut.
Just wanted to get that in there before someone steals it.
Damn it! But I'm sure there is more where that came fromYou forgot sideways passing merchant
"I believe he's got the chance to have a great future," Solskjaer said. "He knows we believe in him, we've got great faith in him as the next Michael Carrick. I know he's young and I know it's not fair on kids to compare to great players like Michael was, but he's the same mould, he plays simple passes, plays through the lines. Scott McTominay did really well today, some of the passes through the lines into Paul were excellent.
"You're at Man United, so Michael had the pressure of coming in after Roy Keane, that's just the way it is at Man United."
Solskjaer added to MUTV: “We’ve been waiting for that chance. With Nemanja and Ander injured there’ll be more chances for Jimmy, we might even see him against Southampton on Saturday.”
