Kick Off at 1pm BST / 8pm Local time.

Manchester United will end this year's pre-season visit to Asia with a friendly against Kitchee FC, in Hong Kong.
Since 2009, Kitchee has established a tradition of employing coaches from Barcelona's youth programme. Kitchee's current head coach is Alex Gomez who joined from Barcelona's youth academy. Prior to that, Josep Gombau was in charge for four years (after spending eight years at Barcelona) but recently left to take over Adelaide United in Australia.
The last visit to Hong Kong by United, in July 2005, ended ina 2-0 win to United after goals from Giuseppe Rossi and Dong Fangzhuo.

Hong Kong is usually hot. Around 28-33c with about 70% humidity.T his game will the hard, and will take it's toll on the players, playing in a such humid conditions.

De Gea

Rafael Ferdinand Evans Evra

Zaha Carrick* Cleverley Lingard

Januzaj

RVP

My prediction going by the changes today.

I Imagine Carrick will start, but there will be a lot of subbing. If anyone watched the Lions, they'll remember they played in Hong Kong before heading to Australia, and found the heat nearly unbearable.

Most important thing is to continue the hard work. This pre-season has looked really good on that front, with decent chunks of time in each country, good hard games where everyone puts the effort in, and intense conditions to really kick the fitness up a notch. Massive contrast to last time round where we were on and off the plane every 24 hours and half the players never even looked bothered.

That said, it would be nice to see Moyes put out whatever team he thinks is his 'first choice' at the moment. Of course he can only do that if Carrick is fit.

That's the side I'd like to see, with lots of substitutions in the second half (Kagawa and Anderson on at some point, probably some full-back changes, etc etc.)

I think we should force Ando to play at least 60 mins. 40 mins in it and he'll be wrecked. Imagine what 60 could do to his fitness!

I reckon we need to go with something close to our strongest side, especially in defence. Get the show back on the road!!

How many games are left after this in the pre season?. I think we should start the team that we believe will be the best for the start of the league, and then make the subs as and when the game goes.

I believe the team getting into a rhythm is just as important as being fit, they need to have a pattern of play going before get our first game in against Wigan.

Yep, I think we have two games left + a testimonial and then Wembley against Wigan. We need to get an idea of how we are going to line up pretty shortly and let the team have a few minutes playing together as close as is possible to how they will be lining up in the League. Maybe this is the last game for experimenting but by the next one you would want to see the back 4 at least lining up properly.

This is going to be played on the same pitch as the Sunderland Spurs game that took an absolute battering in the rain.

On a weeks holiday.

Really? Ah well, that's a shame in some ways but it also means Januzaj will probably get a really good run-out in the hole, which is good. I love how effortlessly he provides penetration at times. The through-ball for our equaliser today was lovely - he just kept hold of the ball and patiently waited until he'd moved the defender far enough out of the way to slip Anderson through.

I'm more worried that we don't sustain any injuries on this pitch.

Hard to tell how badly the pitch is really playing because Spurs are getting such an easy ride against South China. Given the sorts of teams we've been matched up with in Japan, I'm willing to bet Kitchee are going to be a bit more competitive.

Going to this one. Hopefully the rain would stop. It's been a miserable week weather-wise.

Actually South China are top of the table in the HK league after 18 games, 4 points in front of the second placed Kitchee.

Well then either Spurs were playing out of their skins (which they didn't seem to be) or we're in for a slightly easier game than the last two. South China looked very poor.

Given the state of the pitch and the bad weather, I recommend the match be cancelled.

When was the last time we did that "play two pre season matches simultaneously" thing? Those were fun.

We should try it against someone with a big squad, like we do, and play home and away at the same time.

Anderson has played well on the tour, so I'd like to see him start alongside Carrick. If we don't get a midfielder :nervous:, they could be our first choice pairing next season.

The club as cancelled an open training session , throwing into doubt whether the game will go ahead.

The pitch will be a massive problem, I think most teams have been training on the pitch and that's probably what we were planning on doing. I'm guessing a change of venue will happen, theres a smaller 20k capacity pitch/stadium right next to it so that may be a possibility.

Cleverley has been better than him so far imo.

Cleverley has been excellent on Australia. On other games neither of them impressed me (though haven't watched the yesterday's game but only highlights) with Ando being slightly better.

Cleverley didn't come on until late yesterday but the improvement was still noticeable. Both of them made an improvement on the predictably shoddy Giggs-Jones midfield.

To avoid injuries I'd give Irwin, Phil Neville and Steve Round a game with Crerand on the bench
